If you need to late submit a game for any reason, please reply to this post and I'll see what I can do!
(Please try to get in touch as soon as possible, as the longer you leave it, the higher likelihood your request may be denied)
Hello everyone! I'm happy to announce that the boss bash jam is returning, this year with an official discord to boot!
In this jam, you will have 20 days to create a magnificent, memorable and malicious boss, based around a certain theme. There are no prizes available, the jam is simply for fun and friendly competition.
You can sign up here: https://itch.io/jam/boss-bash-jam-3
Firstly, if you unable to submit to the jam for a reason out of your control(wifi issues etc.), please reply with a link to a page for your game and the reason you couldn't submit, and I'll generate a late submit link if I feel it's appropriate.
Secondly, I couldn't help but notice this jam wasn't anywhere near as successful as last years. If anyone can advise me on reasons why, and how to improve for next year's, please let me know.
That's all. Thanks!
Hi, sorry if this was too unclear! To put it simply, I use the term 'General Use' to refer to anything that is not heavily dependent on an already existing project. Taking a basic movement script from a pre-made game or using online art assets is completely fine, but taking art, sound or scripting that was specifically intended for another project isn't. (ie: don't use the sprites from a character you've created for a completely separate game, or re-use a script that applies to a specific in-game mechanic)
I've got a game jam that starts in 20 days, I put it up 6 days ago, but it's still not on the calendar or on the browse jams page. I don't think this is normal, as this is the second time I'm hosting this jam, and the first time I remember getting on the calendar in like 2 or 3 days. Any help or advice is much welcome! Thank you!

This link should let you late submit :)
Originally I would have said no, but now that I've thought about it, I would say you can... but you must say in the submission post what wasn't made in the jam and where it came from. Also bear in mind that you will most likely lose score for doing so ie: use of art from other sites means no points in the graphics scoring.
I'm trying to be quite lenient with the rules here, what with this being my first jam hosted.
Something like this: Bullet Hell Jam 2023 - itch.io
Is this one just exceptionally good, or am I missing something in my creation?
