Creating custom music with AI is a highly collaborative and hands-on endeavor that requires significant human creativity, expertise, and effort much like using any advanced instrument or production software like FL Studio.
Here's a glimpse into what goes into my creation process:
- Conceptualization and direction: I start with a clear artistic vision, including the mood, story, genre blend, structure, and emotional arc. This involves deep musical knowledge to guide the AI effectively.
- Prompt engineering and iteration: Crafting precise, detailed prompts is an art in itself. A single track often requires dozens (or hundreds) of generations, refinements, and variations—testing different phrasings, parameters, and styles until something resonates.
- Selection and curation: From those outputs, I carefully choose the strongest elements, rejecting most to ensure originality and quality.
- Editing and arrangement: I restructure sections, extend or shorten parts, layer elements, and blend multiple generations for cohesion.
- Optional Post-production: Professional mixing, mastering, EQ, effects, and sometimes adding live-recorded instruments or vocals to elevate the sound and add a human touch.
