Very pleasing visually and audially, really liked the music. Couldn't find all 4 towers in time :'c

very cute robot :3
got distracted by its cute expressions, haha

Wow, really fun fast-pased game. Feels really cool. Love captain Eel's emotions

Feels pleasant, but not very engaging
(I guess I'm just not a fan of this genre. but it seems quite well implemented)

really cool puzzle game!
the design of each level feels so creative
sadly, my brain cells were struggling a lot on some levels and I wasn't able to finish the game... but it was fun!

cool concept, the gameplay is simple but quite enjoyable
(though it's also more hardcore than I expected. I feel that the timer makes it a bit too tough together with the fact that you need to touch the bulbs precisely with your head to activate them, but a hitbox of the eel is large so bombs easily kill him)

P.S. I'm an eel enjoyer myself 〰

cute style! I like that it's clear what to do (and how to win) without any extra explanations

though her phone must be really old and moody if it's so easy to fatally fail at charging it xD

Cool game, fellow pico8-dude! Very interesting concept.

Very fun and enjoyable! Loved the visuals, and the music adds a lot to the atmosphere and temp of the game
Felt a bit unfair that the player can only shoot to the right and to the left while the enemies attack on all sides

Cute art and I like the storyline :3

Though the gameplay felt unclear to me (maybe because the shapes of the neurons aren't clear, so I had no idea how to put them correctly)

Cool game, I like Bulby's design (cap that turns into parachute looks interesting)
It was a bit too hardcore (because there weren't many checkpoints), so I didn't finish the game though :c
Also at first I was puzzled by level transitions and thought it was some bug. And accidentally stepped to the right and teleported back to the old location ^^"

Music is so calming, and the parallax effect of the background looks nice

Oh. That's great storytelling. So well-written, and different font colors for imagination and dark reality work very well. The story really makes you feel bad for Sadie and get the message :c
I really liked how you've shown the characters. In some parts it feels like the unicorn is a separate character, and we gladly choose soothing and warm words to cheer Sadie up, in other parts it starts to feel like talking to yourself. And those changes are shown quite well.

In my opinion this project really doesn't need any graphics or audio, but I was a bit confused how to rate those aspects for the jam, eheh.

Overall, wonderful narrative part, good message, sweet main character with sad story. You've done a nice job!

Amazing visuals, looks pretty stylish. The music sets the mood nicely and the story seems fun, hehe. But yeah, it's hard to play, so I failed a lot and mostly just tried to run away from my problems instead of fighting them (ah wait, I do that in real life, too. But this time I'm talking about enemies in the game xD)

Gameplay mechanics seem interesting, so with some balance this game might get really enjoyable to play. And I think your project fits "magical realism" theme pretty fine. (Although personally I would interpret it in more... symbolic way? But only because of how it was worded in gamejam's description).

Anyway, urban fantasy with goblin mafia is a cool setting :D

So... fun setting, badass story, amazing graphics. Good job!

That's a cool game, congrats with your first project and the first jam ^^
I like the graphics, the main character looks very stylish! The music is nice too, sounds nostalgic and light (so you don't get tired of it).

The gameplay is good too, but I think the character jumps and moves too fast, so it's really hard to control him. Often I didn't even manage to see his movements, so even jumping at some platform was a challenge (or maybe I'm just too slow :D ). I know in retro-style (and hardcore) games move/jump speed is often high, but personally I would like a bit more time to react.
That's also a pity that you didn't try to fit in jam's theme, this game seems like something that would go together with "magical realism" good enough (if there would be some tiny backstory, for example).

Overall it's nice and fun. Keep it on! And again, congrats with your first published project ^^

Very cute characters! Loved dialogues between them. The style is nice, the music is relaxing and fits the game well, and I like the story a lot. I like how it looks a bit like fairy tale (or a fun quest for children), but with serious mood, cause their mom is missing and her letters sound pretty serious.

That's cool that we can interact with the world, I love your attention to details. I enjoyed clicking on everything and reading girls' comments ^^

I especially liked the moment in the museum where we can help two lonely NPCs by suggesting spending time together. And the main plot is intriguing and interesting (though I got stuck after visiting the museum. I guess there's just some bug which doesn't let to use the bus station. Tried to download fixed version cause wanted to see how the story ends, but parent.exe file fails to extract its content properly. It just freezes in the process, hmmm)

Overall, that's an adorable and cool project, enjoyed playing it. Nice work!

I like locations, they have nice details and futuristic elements look intriguing. That's sad that we don't hear anything about the setting and just start in the middle of the map with no explanations. I feel like there is some story and interesting setting behind this (the mentioning of the "company", main hero's job, empty town left by almost everyone...), but not much was shown in the game itself, eheh.
I like character designs and think you did a good job creating the environment! And the design of the evil spirit in the temple looks interesting, too~
Also I noticed that NPCs like to repeat certain information in each of their answers. It's nice that you don't want players to miss anything, but I think there's no need to mention everything in every phrase. Personally I've tried all the options in dialogues, so it was a bit funny that the barmen always mentions where our house is. It looked like he was sure that our MC doesn't actually remember anything, so he needs to remind again and again :D
I think you're not obligated to repeat important information so many times. Instead it would be nice to give as different replies as possible. You know, to give us more pieces of puzzle to collect. I'm sure most of JRPG players try all possible options in dialogues just like I do, so you don't need to worry so much that they would miss something ^^

I liked the game and think it's a nice beginning. Would be great to find out more and see where the story goes :>

The atmosphere is so captivating, I love how the graphics, the story, the music and the gameplay create a mood of loneliness. I really empathized the main character, worried about him and wondered about those tiny pieces of memories he tried to recall. And these 3d graphics fit here unexpectedly well! They create unique and quite interesting vibes.

The gameplay was confusing for me at first, took me some time to understand what to do (both in "emotion control" parts and in space scenes). And in space scenes I got lost periodically, just drifting in nowhere. At some point the game seemed a bit too repetative... On the other hand, it fits the mood pretty well, so maybe that's alright. The storyline had my interest all the time, so it wasn't that hard to get through repetative parts (though it felt a little bit like clicker game).

I'm also glad the story has happy ending, I really felt with Pat. Was relieved to see him happy :>

Overall, great project with unique mechanics and capturing mood! I also like that you've picked sci-fi setting and managed to fit "magical realism" theme into it. Nice job :)

Amazing! I like the graphics, they look so stylish and bright. The story is quite interesting too, it made me feel emotions. And the music fits pretty well. In the end it created impressive mood of shock and feeling of making some awful, irreparable mistakes (talking to strangers, haha)
The most shocking part for me was probably the last task from the birdie. Didn't expect Clara was ready to go that far o.o

The flow of the story made me want to change something, so it's sad that player has no choice. I would like to see some alternative endings or something like that. Also noticed that the game doesn't record if you take items (like the flame, the flower etc.), so you can leave the location without taking them and the story will just move on. And there was I hoping it would be a plot-changing choice, eheh

But overall I enjoyed playing this game, nice storytelling! And Clara is such a sweet character. I loved her casual reactions xD

Good work!

Thank you for the comment. Yep, we know about this problem with UI. It appeared after the export and we didn't have any time to fix it cause we uploaded the game in last minutes before the deadline :c
We'll upload fixed version as soon as possible. Glad you still like the visuals and the idea :>

Thank you for such kind words! Happy to hear you enjoyed the atmosphere. The dialogues were written in a hurry, so wasn't sure if they felt natural and revealed the lore. I'm glad that you liked how the world and characters are. (And yeah, sorry for problems with the font and the UI, we wait for the jam's end to upload fixed version. And maybe we'll continue working on this project to show the rest of the story, hehe)

Thank you again for the feedback :>

Oh, thanks for the comment. We were questioning ourselves if the font was alright or if we should change it. Okay, so the change it is :D
And yeah, the UI got cursed during the export, eheh... (so we've even added a short instruction of what to do to play the game)
Also thanks for mentioning frustrating mix of auto-advancement and button advancement, we'll work on it as well.
We're going to upload fixed version when the jam ends~

Thank you for the comment!
We've added a short instruction how to proceed the game, if you'd like to see. But it becomes more and more raw, eheh.
Very glad you like the graphics and the story idea. We'll work on the game and upload the fixed version when the jam ends~

Thank you very much for your comment and for playing the game! :>
The advice about more introductory levels is nice. I guess we got too used to the knot and 2 characters mechanics while testing the game ourselves... and lost the sight of how it would look to the player, haha. We even wanted to add more mechanics like closing/opening doors, buttons etc. cause it all looked too simple... for our accustomed eyes.
(Well, mostly mine. Not brother's)
If we continue working on this game (we're not sure yet, maybe it's better as a short demo-project), we'll surely consider your words. So thanks for the feedback~
