Devlog #1 - Our game announced recently!
Hello everyone, we recently announced our game Thingamajigs and wanted to make a thread on here for anyone who finds it interesting :)

As of now we've got our first level (the one available in the demo) wrapped and have another bunch of levels either planned or in progress (including a juicy forest level that is about 50% done). On top of that, we recently made a few YouTube shorts covering some of the ways we made the game.
The first one here covers some of the ways we made our game feel so interactive to begin with (we call it the surface system / surface map) and it's a pretty neat way of breathing loads of life into every click!
Our more recent one covers how a good chunk of our animated assets in the game are all sharing the exact same rig (we call it the noodle rig), including people and trees :D Though we're actually looking at a load more ways to diversify even what we have now!
We're currently having a bit of a breather having just launched the demo but will soon be getting to work finishing our 2nd level while working assets for the 3rd level (spoiler - old McDonald would have a field day in it).
I'll keep posting in this thread as we make more mini-dev videos over the coming months alongside a little write up. If folks are interested in what we're up to and have any questions, please feel free to leave us some comments and we'll see what we can answer :D
P.S. If you've got this far, think the game looks rad, and haven't played our demo yet, please give it a go and let us know what you think!
