Thanks so much for playing and love your feedback. Honestly all of your feedback were things I originally wanted to put into my game. When i wrote the script out all of that was included lol but once I started making the game I think I over complicated things for my first overall design so I took a lot out of my script and simplified my game a lot more than what I wanted to. So i was hoping at least what I did release would meet some of my expectations. But making this game taught me a lot and prepared me for the design on my next game. I am working on my audio transitions. I get so stuck on my laid back feel I loose focus that Im making a horror game. I kept the player stuck in place to overall build up tension in the player. Typically in games where the player is stuck in place and cant move it builds up a since of lingering fear knowing they cant get away from something that will cause them harm. The dynamic in the game would have been better if there were more scarier events but that is what I initially was going for. I really appreciate your feedback and thanks again for playing
Thanks so much for playing. I actually wanted to do more nights and more human face-to-face interactions on the night shift but with this being my first game i started becoming overwhelmed lmao so I cut it down to just one . But my next upcoming game I stuck with my original script and plan to have more interactions. But once again thanks for playing glad you enjoyed.
Game Link - The Beat
Hey everyone 👋🏽
I just released my first game The Beat and wanted to share it with the community.
The Beat is a short psychological horror experience where you play from inside a police cruiser responding to dispatch calls.
Your choices matter and responding to them wrong can lead to fatal consequences.
I’d genuinely love any feedback on what worked, what didn’t and what you felt while playing.
Thanks for checking it out 🖤
