making this in 4 days is maaaaad. congratulations to all seriously, block game crashes on web build for me though

i dont know how you made this in 4 days. criminally underrated, had me tense at all times, 5 floors is insane, amazing artwork and sound design, great job. this is basically a full game

did not expect to get scared shitless with a gam jame lol, great experience! although i still havent managed to beat it yet, i will keep trying. amazing artwork this is a game i could see on steam for a few bucks, amazing job

very cool idea, would add a button to not have to wait 3 secs if you dont want to for when youre moving, and i feel like its a bit too difficult i would add more consumables but apart from that nice!! slick visuals, would have loved to have music though

tysm!!

great stuff! probably the most polished game ive played in this jam id be surprised if mark doesnt feature it in his video. only complaint is sometimes its a bit frustrating to move around the characters but that might be part of the charm. visuals and audio are perfect and the gameplay system is so simple but nothing else needed! would love to see this expanded into a lil mobile game or something

this is SICK, one of my favourites, with a tiny bit more of polish, more levels (or an endless mode) and more varied visuals id pay for this on steam or the play store and play it all the time! i love the ricochet bullet mechanic and being able to have your bullet hit multiple enemies in a line, it really makes you be mindful of your long reload time, and the visual (screenshake, the combos, etc)  and audio feedback (sfx and the music when you win) makes it even more satisfying. theres a lot of bugs honestly and things that some people would consider "broken" but some of em make me like the game even more tbh. i love how in some levels theres an explosive barrel that if you hit it you automatically win, i love how you can get absolutely swarmed by enemies cant even move but you somehow manage to get by and you dont even understand how you won, and i love how you can play the next level even if you lost.

seriously good job!

nice little post void like game! idk if its a web build thing or if its just loading but every time i die it takes a while for it to start back. also i just wish the entire thing was a bit faster, but apart from that great game great visuals!!! always nice to see a 3d game in a jam

creative and somewhat ambitious! i just would have liked for there to be a tutorial its kinda confusing at first

one of my favourites! the artwork is SO DAMN GOOD seriously congrats to the artist youre beyond talented, dialogue was funny too (and i love the font you guys used, reminded me of Scratch games) and the gameplay while simple is quite fun, getting a bullseye is always exhilarating and the lil tricks the girl pulls on you to try and make you fail are fun, cool take on a dart game! only complaint is the music gets a bit annoying after a bit and that i would like for there to be a tiny bit more of feedback (both visual and audio) when shooting the darts. great job!

i had to play this off the cover art and title alone, and the intro comic was amazing and funny!!! we made something similar im glad other people are doing intro comic cinematics too its the best simplest way imo to add a lil narrative. as for the rest of the game, a tutorial would have been nice, and with how good some of the sprites are (like the lil cats that im sad u have to kill :c) the other kinda poorly drawn (i suppose on purpose) sprites look kinda out of place, good job tho!!

actually charming graphics, reminds me of the Newgrounds days. cool concept and good level design with a surprising amount of levels, what really holds the game back imo is the complete lack of sound effects and music, for the next time spend at least a little bit of time on it with some free sounds trust me it'll make a world of a difference. great job for a first game though!

GEM ALERT!!!!! please continue this the concept is too funny add like upgrades with other soyjaks or something

never knew i needed a 2d superhot-like until now. good job! first few levels definitely feel a lil slow though, it really starts going after the upgrade, id cut down on the first few rounds or something if you were to make a full version (which you should). slick presentation love the distortion with the bullet time slow down effect and minimalistic graphics

timer is a lil too tight haha but it is fun for the first few rounds to try and form somewhat coherent sentences or strings of words with the same meaning, and even if it wasnt i would have stayed for those AMAZING drawings!! seriously good job

noted for full version! thanks

tyy loved ur game

this game gives such an ethereal feeling! i looove the music and sound effects they pair up perfectly with the feeling of floatiness of the rocket. not really much to critique that people havent said yet, good job!

thank you for playing!

thank you so much! we actually did export a web build and it was available for the first few hours but we hid it after testing it due to some visual bugs. we will find a fix for a postjam version so that its playable on browser for sure

intro is absolute gold haha, the rest is simple but charming, with some great pixel art. my only real gripes are that 1. theres barely any gameplay tbh you just walk around, talk to people and see things happen or complete suuuper simple tasks (i know thats the point) and 2. the way the theme was applied is suuuper funny story wise but gameplay wise feels like a bit of an excuse, but its fine since its a more funny narrative thing. nice work

maybe my favourite game ive played so far in this jam!! so cute, elegant and original! i really have nothing to critique other than that if you were to develop a bigger version (which PLEASE do, or at least a mobile port, i need to play it so bad) add maybe some upgrades to mix things up, since by the end of the last level the surprise factor of the mechanic had worn off already and i was just doing the same thing over and over again.

seriously, insane job

nice little hotline miami-like with a satisfying parry mechanic and timer to make it extra stressful. it feels like one of those hotline miami inspired time based fps (post void or mullet madjack) but back to 2d again. could have a bit more juice but the graphics and gameplay are smooth! good job

reaaaaally cool idea i lovd the shopkeeper and the real life visuals, just kinda confusing

i ADORE the music, and the little narrative context is always appreciated, especially when accompanied by beautiful character designs. the gameplay is a simple but very clever sokoban, which i love. good job!

AMAZING artwork and level design, when you pull it off its really satisfying, my only real gripes are

1. the character control is a bit finnicky, it feels too floaty and slippery (in my opinion, it might be a conscious choice)

2. its not always clear where you can step and where you can't

nice job!

goofy funny game haha, using the sausage tricks gif as an idle first person animation is genius lmao. last level was a bit too tight on time though imo, the opening soda cans was a bit finnicky too with where you had to click. other than that not that much to critique, good stuff

criminally underrated, im so mad because i wish this was my idea instead hahah, its so interesting your game is a combination of both ideas i had for my game (losing limbs and warioware style gameplay, i ended up going only with the second) and the end product is so damn unique and elegant i just wish there were more minigames, definitely keep working on this because youve got something special

nice lil sokoban, both gameplay and aesthetics remind me of baba is you, i will never not love the redrawn over aesthetic :)

cute as heck, simple but fun and juicy, and stressful! it was a bit tough for me haha i tried the keep upgrades mode and even then i was not fast enough haha. nice job

interesting concept and the gunplay is pretty good imo i just wish the arena was bigger. its fun it forces you to do mental math while killing doom style haha. good job! love the music choice too it doesnt fit at all but that makes it even better

simple yet charming, love to see another take on a warioware-like! as people have pointed out, second level doesnt register the clicks on the coins well, and i had trouble with the counting the basketball scores one simply because i was counting all the shots and not the scores haha thats on me. would have loved some more music but the 3 hit clock really sets the mood. not that much to say, quick simple fun!

this is my favourite game ive played in this jam so far, and by a LOT. it caught my eye real quick because of the aesthetic, i love the (i suppose) vaporwave inspired statues and real life objects, music was great too, but then the gameplay hooked me so much, this is the most interesting golf/pool game ive ever played and the bounciness of the ball and mechanics reminded me so much of Nubbys Number Factory (i dont know if it was an inspiration). as many have pointed out, last level is bordeline psychotic haha, couldnt manage to beat it, but everything else was perfect! when i saw that the implementation of the theme was just a timer on the levels i thought it was gonna feel like a cheap excuse to fit the theme, but since you get to slow down time theres actually time manipulation and more that goes into it, it really is a core mechanic that holds the game all together. keep up the good work!

i LOVE that the menu is a level itself! surprisingly hard game too, the undo button is really appreciated haha. i understand the hills are a core mechanic but honestly all it does for me is make the game more frustrating (the implementation is amazing though it feels perfect even if it messes me up haha). slick visuals too, really not too much to critique, great jam game

love the isaac inspo and the main character design. basic but charming gameplay and visuals, actually really cool feeling of trying to get further in each round and exploring to try and find upgrades/cash for upgrades but always being mindful of coming back in time, thats good design, really reminded me of Minit! losing completely every time feels a little too much though haha i wouldve made it so that not coming back in time damages you a lot or debuffs you or something else but not having to start over, maybe thats a skill issue on my end though.

good job!

forgot to mention, really slick main menu ui design

great feeling momentum based mechanics even with the (mostly) lack of sound effects and music (for the next time i really recommend adding some music even if its just some royalty free songs and spending just a tiny bit more of time on the sfx! it really adds to the experience, just a lil jump sound and a satisfying win sound or jingle when you reach the flag really goes a long way towards making it feel gratifying to play). surprising amount of levels and quality of those levels too! i'd love this if the audio part was more developed and the visuals were a tad bit less repetitive.

as for the theme, i honestly did not understand how it was applied until i read the page afterwards. i cant remember if at any point i died because of the timer ending, maybe i just speedran it lol. but it doesnt really feel like a core mechanic, the core would be the time manipulation, if you wanted the countdown to be an important part of the game i would have added the time left for each level to be on screen at all times, this way it just feels random.  shoul'dve been communicated better imo (also as another commenter said, i dont know if it really enhances the experience but i understand its important to fit the theme)

good job!

check the series out for sure! its basically this but much better haha, thanks for the review

thank you so much!

about the issues you had, 1. this is true haha it all seemed obvious to us but after seeing other people play it i completely understand not getting some of em on the first try, we should've asked someone to do a quick playtest to make sure. 2. i think the problem might be that youre trying to heat it up using the up and down arrow keys, when it only works with the right and left ones, we shouldve made the controls icon only right and left instead of all 4 directions to avoid confusion. 3. ur totally right again lol i completely missed that, will be fixed in postjam version, thanks for letting me know

thanks!!
