did you see the little book in the corner? It shows you all the words so far

thanks for playing, glad you got any :)

it was hard to tell if they were going to be easy or hard. first one helps if you played green glass door as a kid! thanks for trying it

Fair enough, i was hoping it would be self explanatory cause there is not much. ill update the description see if that helps. thanks for trying it. you gotta toss or feed following the same secret rule the goblins are.

Agree with the other commenter. Hard for me to actually play but looks neat.

Very fun and took me several tries but I made some bad plays. I like it a lot.

Pretty cool and yeah needs more content but i liked the idea and what you had.

cool concept and crane is pretty fun. found it kind of easy and like the smileys didnt do much. could be interesting if expanded.

I like the idea, but it is hard to know if im dealing damage to the enemies and they seem to have a lot of health.

Pretty cool, I like the roguelike aspect but don't love the intro platforming to get to it. And can be a bit frustrating to want to complete a challenge but then just be thrown a new one. Maybe like checkpoint flags?  But also not really my genre so I don't know anything.

Thats a fun twist, and has a lot of humor. Not exactly my genre but feels pretty good if a bit chaotic.

Pretty fun and juicy! I kept picturing it as a survivor like and wanted upgrades and new weapons periodically. Could see it going somewhere!

No worries, I went back through the previous jam and found this: https://itch.io/jam/20-second-game-jam-2024/topic/4276114/can-there-be-multiple-...

We discourage progression between games/levels because it stops being a 20 second game and becomes something much longer

I would interpret this to mean that the entire game experience is meant to be contained in those 20 seconds and that a longer multi-level game would be outside the spirit of the jam. But likely not disqualified.

I have a similar question, you kind of answered it virtual nomad but I want to be extra clear. If my game is composed of many 20 second levels and nothing carries over from level to level except what you the player have learned (maybe you learn how to open a gate in level 1 and without that knowledge you cant complete level 2) is that in the spirit of the rules? i was thinking of doing something where you are knowledge gated - so in later 20 second levels, you need some knowledge you learned in an earlier 20 second level, but I'm not sure if that counts as 'learned skills' and is within the spirit. Any thoughts?

Does this include up and down or only side? thanks!

I have an idea and small prototype but it ended up not really fitting the theme, should i still finish and submit it or come up with something else? thanks

i just want to make sure this is correct: if we buy the paid version can we use them in commercial projects?

i cant seem to catch a fish, what am i supposed to do once i hit space on the bubbles

Any chance to get a pause icon added?
