I love the idea behind this game, it really feels so different from any other rhythm game that I've seen or played (as someone else said, very barely resembling stepmania or rhythm doctor).  It would work better with the dice progressing when you move to the 6-face and having a hit window, with some sort of indicator - metronome, approach circle, pointer, etc. - to make you know when to hit. This would feel better in gameplay than having it progress on the beat, as high/random input latency from the browser feels pretty killer. 

But, within the scope of GameJam, this is brilliantly made, I'm just another picky rhythm game player. I'm excited to see how this game progresses, if you continue to work on the game! I would love to eventually see this having an in-game editor so that users can make their own maps, too!

I see where you're coming from about the dice being just textured RNG rather than anything more special, as neither of us have made a game before (let alone open Godot before last Friday!), we were moreso in the mindset of "let's make a simpler game but make it beautiful" rather than trying to be overly ambitious. 

I'll be working on rebalancing the game and release a more refined, more challenging version of it later on this sem!

Right now it's coded that potions will heal up to your maximum health and not further (i.e. for times where health goes from 97/100 -> 100/100 instead of 97 -> 102), but I never implemented that for other healing sources, I'll need to change it to occur for all healing! Similarly, critical damage wasn't implemented due to time constraints, but it will also be implemented as soon as possible.

The [NUMBER_HERE] bug was fixed pretty much right on the deadline, I think it shouldn't occur in the future. The health issue was an oversight though, it will be fixed as soon as possible.

In regards to the enemies, they are coded to have different damage types (snake poisons, jelly cube hits multiple times, dragon burns etc.) but I just didn't get around to implementing these before the deadline. And using  Freesound is a good idea, I'll use it in future game jams!

Otherwise, I think you nailed perfectly what I would love to improve about this game / future games. Thank you so much for your feedback!
