Even though I've never played it, this game reminds me of Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy. I tried so hard to meet my love, but alas, I could not get past the sharp spikes at the beginning of the level. Skill issue on my part. I love the art style and the animal animations, especially Froggert's idle when he blinks out of sync and when he eats the fly buzzing around him. Very neat touch! The intro cutscene with the letter was also very well done!

I am a sucker for any game that involves fish lol. I love the unique dialogue sounds and quirky animations for Edward and Xie Feng. The different fish designs are really neat too! However, I did run into a couple of bugs. In my first attempt, after I completed fishing and saw the dialogue cutscene, my screen went completely grey. I started over again, and then it went fine. I saw the options to see the shop (which I did) and the casino (which I didn't). But when I returned to the fishing game, my fishing rod was spinning uncontrollably, and my fishing line was shot straight into the sky. Not sure what caused this. As other comments said, some additional audio feedback for when you catch a fish or lose your line would be nice. I think it would be helpful if there were a timer for when you can throw your lure back in after losing it to a crab or scissor fish. Overall, nice job!
Neat art style, especially for the design of the multilayer forest! I was able to beat the game on my second try. I did find it a little odd that the evil plants, the flying robot, and my bullets could shoot through the floating platforms the plants sit on. Some sound tweaks could include a sound design for when you spin the bike gear and a small death sound effect when you lose (like the dramatic one from the old Super Mario Bros (NES). It would also be nice if there were an OST while playing. Even if there's only one level, this is pretty complete! Awesome sauce! :)
Really unique idea! I love the chef's design and the music. The sound effect when the people bust through the door is funny too. I couldn't quite get the hang of spinning the plate. Out of 3 attempts, I only got my chef to eat his pasta for a little bit once, and for some reason I couldn't replicate it. I'm not sure what it could be, as I would stay in the green zone and spin the plate from both directions, but nada. Maybe add a munching sound effect for when the chef eats. I think if you polish this a bit more, it'll be great!
This got real chaotic REAL fast lmao. My boats could not avoid the pirate ships for the life of me, but it's okay because the handy dandy rescue crew would zip by so quickly. I think I got more points by saving crashed boats than actually guiding them. Guess I'm fired from my lighthouse job. Really funny and I had fun playing! Great music and ocean sounds too!
Very serious game. I loved the animations for the different enemies (attack and death). During my first run, I was confused on how to aim my attack since I thought the direction would go where my mouse pointed. When that didn't work, I thought it would aim via WASD direction (kinda like Dome Keeper). I only realized the direction was determined by where the cane was pointing after I read the game description, LOL. I got much better after that. Maybe on the tip of the cane, add a tiny arrow, so I know this is where I should point? I do think this game is really fun! Makes me want to improve and see the new enemy types. Maybe implementing a rogue card/ability system after clearing a wave would be neat. Great job!
Super adorable art style! Surprisingly, very hard (lol), so I only made it to wave 2 after a few tries. I like the different item mechanics, though I didn't use shift very often as I found it challenging to keep spinning the tail while knowing where I was going (those chonky pigeons kept catching up to me!). It would help if the mouse cursor had a custom design/bigger size, as I would lose it during my spinning frenzy. Overall, great job! :)
I feel like the dialogue between the characters goes by too quickly. Maybe implement a "continue" button so players can stop and read at their own pace. I played on PC, so the lighting was okay, but it could use some extra brightness (especially in the starting house, why is my daughter living in the dark!). I like the idea of "human worker versus machine", but I found the player character moved too slowly, and I couldn't get the barrels fast enough to reach 80 degrees. There was also this error that if I clicked "Load," it would take me straight to the factory (which is good), but there were several blue cubes? Maybe a game engine thing?
I adore this game! The art style is really nice and the music is SUPER groovy. It was fun playing the two levels (farmland and wild west), although I was a little confused on how to move the tornado consistently, and taking down buildings took some extra effort...but still, my favorite jam thus far! Maybe as an obstacle, you can add "storm chasers" and their news broadcasts alert people to evacuate? Or knocking them down gives extra points.
