Thoroughly enjoyed playing this game! Depsite not having too much experience with card builder games, it wasnt hard to figure out the mechanics at all, it was rather intuitive. I went for a poison build and it was pretty overpowered untill I didnt have enough blocks to negate the large attacks, so definitely will try a different strategy next. I played for a good 30 minutes without feeling bored, I was engaged the entire time. Great game! Would love to see it be developed further!
Really cool game! At first it was really unclear when i was hit as a player, or if I had only one life or more, but that didnt really take away from the fun, just gotta get good lmao. It was a bit unclear to me what you needed to do with the resources that were dropped, however after a couple of minutes I found the crafting station so that question answered itself. I love the player character, and the animation was really fluid, kudos to you guys! The movement felt good and intuitive and eventually I just ended up dodging all the exploding enemies as that was easier than sniping them using the minimap at the top right. All in all, good game, and a fun take on a platformer! Even though I died numerous times, i didnt get irritated and instead wanted to try more!
This was so fun to play! Flying in the sky felt really smooth and intuitive! Also really smart how you used the green cylinder to measure if you were near land or not to instigate the landing sequence! I see so much potential for expansion of this game, that I hope you do continue working on it, maybe you could add that you can sell the strange items to upgrade your airplane and go further distances to more strange places?!
Really cool game! Love the way you blended movement with 2 inputs instead of one. I also like the wiggly-ness of the ferret, so cute! Great visuals as well! It took me a while to figure out that you needed momentum to be able to get on top of the first taller rock in the cave, however after I figured that out it was smooth sailing from there. I would love to see where this game goes in the future, if you plan on expanding it!
Resally cool game! I like the way you "Change worlds" when the cape is on, especially how you used it to traverse the level! I also love it when people add that when you go behind trees the tree becomes see through, adds so much to visibility in a game! I did get stuck in a room with a glowing book, with the exit being blocked off and no way to interact with the book tho. Overall great game, great visuals and really unique concept!
Very cool game! Love the way there are multiple mini games in one game, I just love when games have variety like that! One remark is that the audio is a bit jittery. Especially in the gloop fish dimension, it kind of became hard to hear anything at all. Also in the gloop fish dimension when I put a yellow fish into the purple goop puddle, it crashed my game. Overall this was a really enjoyable game, and totally loved the art style!
Very fun platformer! I don't often see a game reference the game engine in their game while playing, so that was a fun little surprise! However sometimes my space presses to jump didnt get registered, which made me fall to my doom. From my experience this might be caused beause too many inputs are registered at once, depending on how you handle input. Definitely worth it to look at if you plan to expand on this game! Would love to see where this game goes from here!
Very fun concept! The gradual increase of gameplay mechanics (ground stomp and air dash), was a good design choice as that gives players the time to learn their mechanics without overwhelming them. I dont know if the voice overs were truly AI generated, however they were a nice touch! It did however break a little. When I did too much at a time, they overlapped and were inaudible, but it didnt take away from the experience. Nice game overall!
This game made me shit my pants in fear lmao. I got scared and couldnt play any longer, however that is a sign of a good horror game imo. It definitely encompasses the Strange Places theme. At first I thought it would be a 2D game, and the switch to 3D caught me off guard, but was pretty cool! It wasnt completely clear to me when I needed to wake up, or how I could see when the dreamcatcher came close, or what the bars were on the sides of the screen, but then again I only played for like 5 minutes before quitting haha.
Good game! The controls felt a bid off, as moving the player changed the camera view, which in turn changed the way the sword was swinging, so it was a bit hard to controle. At first it wasnt clear to me why my character was suddenly turning around, as I picked up the power up too fast, so I thought that the attacks had some sort of activation sequence you needed to do, que me turning around like a ballerina for 2 minutes lmao (could be interesting to look into tho). All in all a fun game and a very solid core for expansion if I say so myself.
This game is really intuitive! I like the way you added multiple rockets that could collide mid air, and the fact that you had all the freedom to place the space station where needed. If you decide to work more on this game, I would suggest looking into even more variations for the puzzle, maybe an interesting idea could be that the rockets need to gather something before reaching the planet first, so they need to make a pitstop somewhere?
Loved the game, the supermarket definitely gave off those subliminal vibes! One piece of feedback tho is that, when finishing a job, it takes really long for the characters to become available again to assign them to new incidents. This made it so that my chaos meter went up faster then i thought it would. Overall a very cool game! and loved the way you guys made each character have their own stats and stats when they worked together!
This is so impressive! It truly eludes me how you got your pixel art character to look 3D but whatever. I like the story, it really gives a creepy pasta kind of vibe. I did find a little bug. If you enter the classroom and solve the number quiz a couple of times without opening the phone, it starts the message prompts for the answer to the keypad for every time you solved it, one after another. So if I for example sovled the puzzle 3 times and then started the conversation in the phone, It would generate the first puzzle answer, then after that do it over again with the answers of the second puzzle pasted after it. It is not game breaking but maybe worth looking into?
Interesting Game! I fully expected it to be a little habitat management game from what I could see, but was pleasantly surprised with the creative concept! I did miss a bit of pregression through the levels, Maybe getting more vague species traits can make the player think more on which planet would suit best or adding moon options for outposts, which could satisfy a species trait. Overall a pretty neat game! Hope to see this expand in the future!
Lovely game! Very cool take on a puzzle game! Only feedback I have, even though it isn't entirely nessecary, is that it is not super clear on first sight which path the arrow will take when you press on an orb, which resulted in me having to redo the level sometimes. Not a big problem if that is an intended feature, but maybe an outline of the path that the arrow will take can be interesting to look at? But then again the learning through error aspect was fun as well
I enjoyed playing this game! In some cases I found it hard to know where my sock would land, maybe adding a kind of preview of the trajectory of the sock could enhance the gameplay experience? The subtle introduction of new mechanics in the later levels, such as the sticky water sock, was enjoyable and felt intuitive!
We had a blast creating this for the jam and can't wait to check out all of your submissions!
