Great game, there's so much depth to it (I suppose that from chess adaptations, but this take is really novel, I loved it)!

As the comments suggest, great polish too.

Best I managed is 12, with a good bit of luck!

Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it! A tutorial of some sort is a good shout - of course like you say, time is short, but it probably is a priority.

Audio definitely lacked, which is ironic, because I'm a musician & composer more than anything else - but that's kind of why I wanted to focus on the other aspects, where I learned more

Thanks for playing :)

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed playing!!

Yes, holding a direction to move was up there on things I would've added with a bit more time... it was beginning to annoy me in playtesting!

Thanks for playing :)

I really enjoyed playing, amazing work!

I had to play a second time to try get a perfect score - I got 8/9

Then I had to play one more time, to read what Splinky was saying... which is when I had a creeping suspicion - which was promptly confirmed hahahaha

Really hilarious characters, and a very smooth experience playing.

(Kind of reminds me of school teaching, actually)

Sounds good! Here's mine:

This was an enjoyable game to play. I thought you found a good level of difficulty, which can be tricky

I am also a big fan of the art style! It was both visually appealing and very readable.

Well done!

Ah that's a fair point. That was part of the challenge. but if time permitted, I would have liked to make an indicator to show where you were going to land, which may have made if clearer.

Thanks for playing, and for your feedback!

Ah! I appreciate your dedication haha. If you're still stuck let me know, I hope you don't miss the ending :)

Thanks man, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for checking it out

That was a fun game! I think the charge-up mechanic on the attack worked well with the layout of the levels, I think it helped make the player think more about how they were approaching the levels

I admit I struggled to get further than the ice level, but that's a skill issue...

I hope to come back so that I can experience the rest of the game!

The style of this game was the highlight for me, for sure.

It hits the mark straight away with the choice of colours and the star-packed backdrop. Then the walking animation! It really had so much character which I loved.

I think it was a good difficulty, although I must admit it took some perseverance to make one of the Day 2 jumps. And those sniper robots were a bit harsh, the combination of the speed of the projectiles and the range had me scratching my head. Perhaps a slightly more visible projectile would help?

Great game, impressive to have built this in the week! Well done :)

Hello, I meet your criteria! I'm eager to check out your submission also.

Here's mine, it's quite a short game

The game is minimalistic with the information it gives you, but this makes it all the more interesting to explore and experiment with different actions

The art style is cohesive, I especially liked the Chef, he was very unnerving.

Well done!

Hello! I am looking forward to playing yours

That was fun, I think the string connecting mechanic is a really neat idea, and the characters were just hilarious.

I did find the ending of each case a little vague, although perhaps that's the point (or a function of the time constraint!)

In any case, well done!

Cool! I'll check out yours also :)

I loved the concept, and it was superbly executed.

Definitely kept making me want to improve my score

The creatures are hilarious too

Great work!

Here's a quick game, if you get the time:

That is a very inventive creation! Great work!

I liked the idea to be able to pass, and take 'ownership' of the card targeted at you.

Great choice of music too, it fit really well.

Awesome, I'm keen to check it out. Here's mine, it's a quick play:

I'll try to reword it, let me know if it's still unclear :)

When I said I repeatedly shoot the light:

Sometimes it's live: like you say, mult does not change

Sometimes it's blank: mult decreases by 0.1, I believe

However, the opponents shoot themself often enough that overall, mult goes up over time.

For the setting to zero, an example. If I've shot myself with a blank, let's say I have:

x2.0

01

Then if I aim at the light, and it is a blank, it becomes:

x1.9

00

It seems to always be 00 if you shoot a blank at the light, which means it sets your points to zero, unless I am mistaken

P.S. your English is well-written!

Thank you! And thanks for playing :)

Thanks! I will be sure to check out your game as well

This game had me hooked the most of those I've played so far this jam.

Very well built :)

The different types of labels were very creative as well - between aiming at nails, shooting stronger materials multiple times, and double checking for labels under labels, it kept the game from feeling repetitive.

I do have a piece of feedback - I was hesitant to post it because it feels ignorant of the time constraint we were under - you've built a much more complete experience than me for sure!

At the moment, the strategy is to repeatedly shoot the light. This lets the multiplier build up, then once you've gone as high as you want, you risk shooting yourself (ofc still a chance to get 0 points)

Here's my thoughts:

Perhaps shooting a blank at the light could have a less harsh penalty than reseting points to zero? Atm it disincentivises switching between light/self.

Or make the multiplier decrease more for shooting light with a blank so that the multiplier doesn't increase from only shooting at the light?

This is well made - I especially like the visuals, they are so clean.

Good work!

That was very entertaining. Especially the last carriage where they were all bald and with dark glasses haha

Good work

Nice game - I enjoyed playing. Had fun managing the health with the infection damage, trying to be as greedy as possible haha

Good effort :) I enjoyed the beginning and was looking forward to seeing where it went!

Such is the challenge of this time constraint

I enjoyed playing. Not the genre I usually play.

Well done on making this in the week!

P.S. I was pleased when I found a door that keeps spawning the ghosts if you keep pressing E haha
