Wow this might be the most unique concept I have seen this jam!
I really like the idea being flipped around not trusting yourself but I think it could have been abit more punishing since there is 0 actual incentive to actually lie to the characters but you are onto a much stronger concept here, just needs that one missing part to make it a super interesting mechanic that blows you away with the twist at the end.
Having to use your mouse to choose the dialogue is quite unintuitive cause everything else is done with the keyboard and it just ruins the flow of the game.
I like the graphics, the general game part is very constitent with pixel sizes, a small detail you missed is that the character does not get affected by the little shadows at the edges but is a nitpick. The character dialgoues though have inconsistent pixel sizes which makes it look much more jarring. Also the UI elements could have been made abit more in the style with the rest of the project just to keep the consistency and flow.
The sound design could have also been abit more consistent with some better sound choices, especially for cliking on dialgoue and the gates opening (Just lasts super long I feel + very loud!)
The puzzles are very well made, they are hard enough to get you thinking but easy enough that it fits a short jam submission game, good job! Some of the puzzles are quite creative and I really like how you went about doing them.
Overall this game has a mechanic that I can see being developed futher and has some very cool puzzle levels! Good job
