The results are public now, congratulations to the winners and everyone who participated in this jam! As the last surprise, we can now reveal that Ross Scott himself agreed to play the winning games on his stream! We will notify you all with the details when we know more.

Thank you very much, Ross, you are a wonderful guy! And thank you to all of you!

DVH meant that we will post the results on that page. Very soon!

The ratings are a secret, they will be revealed when the video showreel of all the games is ready and posted on youtube, sorry for the delay, we are preparing the showreel:) It’s going to be fun!

I checked the game works if you download it.

Please contact PotatoGameDev on the jam discord!

Yup, this is not easy :D I think you really have to down-scope everything you imagine to do at jams. You sure have nothing to show for your effort? Like a small demo that would count of an entry?

Anyways, thanks for joining and supporting games preservation and SKG!

Hi, I prepared a little video for all the people who have problems with submission or submitting a jam game for the first time on itch:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDsxRN-CtkY

It describes what confusing problems can happen.

The basic way is:

  1. Go to the jam page, click “Submit your project”.
  2. Click “Upload game”.
  3. On the “Create a new project” form you fill in all the data and save.
  4. !!! After saving, select Visibility & access - Public, this is crucial! Then save again.
  5. Go back to the jam page and click “Submit your project”.
  6. Select the project you created in steps 3-4 in “Existing project” dropdown.
  7. Click “Submit”

If you you already have a game project on itch you don’t have to go through steps 3-4, just go to 5.

Hope that helps!

Can you contact me on discord? I am PotatoGameDev. I will try to help you:)

Hi! I have a few solutions:

  1. Go to our discord and ask around: https://discord.com/invite/EYpMsh3Chv
  2. If no success, you could send me your project source and I can build a web/windows versions for you.

Good luck!

My opinion: You might! People will run your game at their own risk, so some might not rate your game at all if they have to run it locally. Best advice is to create a web build and post it on itch.

Just realized that the other submissions are not yet visible, only the organizers see them :)

When submitting your game you will find a field “Transparency note” that is mandatory. You will not be able to submit it without putting something there:)

It’s priceless!

Nope. And there will not be. Are there a lot of jams that have money attached? Could you give some examples? I’m curious…

It’s up to you. To me personally (PotatoGameDev) it’s ok, as long as you are clear about it:) If you decide to submit, write it down in the transparency note and the people will judge you by that. You might not win, because one of criteria is “Jam authenticity”, so people will give you zeros for making everything before the jam. This jam is mainly for fun and support of the movement, so I wouldn’t overthink it. If the community disagrees, please share your opinion!

Hello! I got the results of the survey back. We definitely have to extend the jam! This is a hard decision and I take responsibility, if you have to be angry at someone, let it be me Results attached, thank you very much for all your responses.

I calculated the mean value of the number of days and it’s about 3.77. So, we will extend the jam by 3 days. The final schedule:

Start: Friday, July 11, 2025 @ 18:00 UTC
Submission Deadline: Monday, July 21, 2025 @ 23:59 UTC
Voting Ends: Thursday, July 31, 2025 @ 23:59 UTC
Results: Saturday, August 2, 2025 @ 16:00 UTC

I understand how this will be bad for you to learn now, when you already planned the scope of your game for a week of dev. But, on a positive note, it will satisfy a lot of people and add 3 days for you to polish your games. Also, this jam was created mainly as a fun, unifying celebration of SKG’s victory. Although I am sorry if I put you in a bad position with this decision.

Hope your projects are going great and there is no procrastination going on ;) Potato

Actually, I planned the jam specifically to not overlap much with Pirate’s jam :D Maybe it’s a bad decision, it was my own decision, so if you disagree blame the potato, but I didn’t want to harm Pirate’s fans just because he disagrees with the movement. If someone is on crossroads about what to support, they can basically do both jams:)

Unfortunately, since the jam went unnoticed and many people joined after it started, we **probably ** have to extend the jam anyways. But this will not be to mess with Pirate’s jammers.

Hi! Because we have a LOT of participants that joined after the jam has started, there is an idea to allow late entries for the jam. We could enable this for few days after the submission period, or even just extend the jam period, for simplicity.

So the question for you is, how do you feel about that? Link to the survey, no emails will be collected: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSchVxg9wuKyMG2T1Q61vqmvOVvlLoN1mq1XTtVXLPm8uvMTiQ/viewform?usp=header

(also there is a field for general feedback and ideas, might be not related to the question)

I will check the results today 16:00UTC and let you know.

Hi! The note is cool! Thank you!

Thank you!!! :)

Hi! Due to a new rule about transparency, you need to update your jam entry and fill a new field “Transparency note”. If you don’t fill the transparency info in 24 hours, we will have to remove your entry.

This will help the jam remain fair.

Thank you!

I think donations will be only visible on the game’s page, not on the submission page. I am not sure about it, can someone advice?

I mean, i have no problem with that, as long as it’s 0 or more, so to allow to play it without paying to test it during the jam.

But, as always, if the community says otherwise, please let me know.

You want to create an end-of-life plan for a game jam? That’s an incredibly crazy idea. I’ll see what can be done :D
