As a follow-up to our Christmas-themed cat game from December, here is Romeo's Purrfect Valentine.

Our protagonist, Romeo, is a ginger cat who's madly in love. Join him in exploring the Valentine World as he searches for the purrfect gift to win over the apple of his eye.

  • Collect roses! 🌹
  • Open gifts! 💝
  • Pounce on enemies! 🐱‍👤
  • Enjoy the amorous tango grooves! 🎸

Come and celebrate this romantic occasion! After all, everything is better with cats.

Watch out for Cupid's arrows!

In the tunnel of love...

Is that a flamingo?

I challenged myself to make a short platform game for Christmas 2022 and I'm pretty pleased with the result. Let me present Mistletoe's Purrfect Christmas!

Mistletoe's Purrfect Christmas

In this seasonal side-scroller, you play a cat named Mistletoe. This kitty is on a quest to explore the Christmas World and hopes to return with a star to put atop their tree back home.

  • Collect baubles! 🎄
  • Open gifts! 🎁
  • Pounce on enemies! 😾
  • Enjoy the Christmas-themed music! 🎵

Enjoy the game and have a wonderful Christmastime!

Fighting some enemies
Hot cocoa sounds nice!

Safe at the checkpoint

Ride the Gauntlet is a fully playable prototype for an arcade-style 2D shoot 'em up. You control a car that shoots enemies and dodges obstacles while collecting coins and power-ups. This downloadable game for Windows includes one full level with a boss battle at the end.

I usually stick to making music for games, but in this case, I went all-in and did the programming and most of the art as well. I might turn it into a full game later by adding more levels and features, but for now, what you see is what you get.

Feedback is welcome!

I'm glad you enjoyed the music! This was my first horror soundtrack.

I love the models for the enemies! I can't find any toy parts though. :-(

I'm a hobbyist video game composer looking to join a game dev team.

  • Fantasy, science fiction, horror, whatever – I like to try my hand at various genres.
  • MP3, OGG, FLAC, WAV – whatever format you need for your game.
  • No payment required – I'm looking to connect with people and build up my portfolio.

Samples of my work

I have over 40 tracks on SoundCloud. Below are some games I've worked on.

Cabin

A short cinematic horror game. I wrote a couple of short tracks for key points in the game.

A Witch's Craft

A game where you hunt mystical creatures and craft items. I wrote three tracks for this game, which was submitted to JamCraft 4.

ZOPS

A top-down shooter inspired by Dead Ops Arcade. I did one general action track for this, and another for a Christmas-themed level (which has since been removed from the game).

Hi. I'm sorry but that doesn't really sound like the type of project I'm looking for.

Hello

I'm a passionate hobbyist video game composer who likes to mix orchestral and electronic sounds, and I'm looking to help out with the soundtrack for a game. My day job is in software development, which I'm sure helps with understanding the technical aspects of producing video game music.

My limitations? I don't really create sound effects,  but I can produce some interesting music. I'm a composer, not a sound engineer.

Samples of my work

Here are some highlights from my latest album, "For the Love of Starships".

  1. Destination: The Stars – An introductory piece, which could work well for a title/menu screen, mission select screen or ship/crew prep phase.
  2. Holding Hands in Orbit – Bright and innocent. A love theme! Or maybe just walking along the promenade.
  3. Operation Station Infiltration – A suspenseful track that starts out sneaky and gradually builds to an action climax. Boarding an enemy ship? Is your space station under attack?
  4. System Failure – More ambient, dark and electronic. This atmospheric piece could accompany a party exploring a derelict spacecraft, or navigating the claustrophobic tunnels  of a ship on backup power.

I have over 30 tracks on SoundCloud.  There's orchestral stuff, some horror pieces, some goofy pieces and a whole lot of battle tracks in various styles. Please forgive the placeholder art. 😅

What I'm looking for

I'm looking for a team that I can join as composer!

Fantasy, science fiction, horror – I'm not fussy about the genre as long as it's something I can enrich with my music. I'm happy to try different things with the team until we find something that suits the game.

All I ask is that you give me credit for my work.
