Very good feedback, yea the BPM stuff really didnt fully get fleshed out, I focused too long on getting the mood correct haha.

Def a few very clear thought out notes I can leverage in the next gamejam, I probably won't do post jam updates as generally I'm pretty busy but have blocked out time for jams I really enjoy like this one but I feel like there might be some worth here in doing a few post jam updates given I keep getting the same feedback on that hallway haha.

I wanted to do like a hide/seek system, it just fell out of scope as I tried to get the game to 'feel' right, next year I really wanna do a real combat system of some kind!

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it, I spent a lot of time on the atmosphere and story to try and really hit a solid mood, and the length of it suffered for it. Maybe next year I can actually make a long game haha.

After you go through the first door with an ID card, there is a blocked way by biomass to your right,  check there after doing more 'tasks' :)

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoy the weird mechanic!

fair, I tried to balance it so waiting would always be near a log to read so it was less of a pause of the game.

Wow, thanks! Makes me happy to hear someone enjoyed it that much!

Right now I don't really have plans to continue it, but some incarnation of it is possible, There was definitely some good stuff in there, and it pushed my pixel art to a whole new level haha.

Haha, that is the exact moment I was hoping to cause, glad to hear it!

I'm pretty sure I'd get lost too if I hadnt had to run the dungeon a few hundred times lol

I should have used some more lights as guides in the movement.

Yea, thats the main feedback I get, wont do that again, even if it was purposeful lol.

Glad you enjoyed the overall experience still!

Awesome!

I'm really glad it hit home for a few people, I def pushed it a little bit, but really no way to know how far I can go before it becomes less worth it. I think the line is movement clicking haha.

Honestly shocked people are even trying for the good ending.

Glad the bullet management is hitting home how I wanted!

Good execution of the theme, love the art style!

there should be a 'start' button in the lower left corner, maybe its being removed due to screen resolution? try hitting ALT+ENTER on the main menu that should fullscreen it to your native resolution. the game should be played at 1920x1080.

Very cool, hit the theme pretty much dead on, very nice looking and smooth gameplay :)

My god you managed to figure out the good ending? I didn't expect anyone to try hard enough to figure out, great work!

Yea in retrospect, keyboard movement should have been added, I specifically didnt do keyboard movement as a way to make combat feel more frantic [must choose to shoot, run or reload] but I feel like a cooldown on shooting would have been better, like grey out the chamber for 0.5s after moving and block firing for that long.

Thanks for the input glad you enjoyed it!

Glad to hear it! Yes, the soul shot knocks the enemies away from you and stuns them longer, the tension of reloading the gun was def what I was shooting for. [puns lol]

Thanks! Sounds like what I was going for hit home, one person team so yea, music and sounds were where I really gave in, but I tried to at least keep it consistent :)

Great aesthetic! Good feedback and overall horror feels.

as the title says, come to the stream and submit your theme idea, (one or two words only) and one of them will be randomly selected!

uh, I am the host :D

I'll be doing the jam but not submitting, using aseprite for artwork and unity for everything else!

thanks, I thought it was a cool idea, plus hilarious programmer art ;)
