A simple, and fun game. A little floaty on the controls, however I got used to it fast. Considering it was a short game, it's not half bad, maybe a few screens in did I totally get the controls. I, of course, played through it for both endings. (spoilers) I half expected the white text to actually open up a door to lava or something when I saw the color, lol. But! I also love the other ending, not going to say exactly what, but I love how both endings changed the main screen. It's a really neat, soft touch that wasn't necessary but makes the game feel loved. And honestly, I can't like games if they feel mandatory to someone.

I adore passion projects, even small ones. And this one was easy, maybe 5 minutes max first time around if you suck at platformers like me. But the second time took me about two minutes. So if you got ten minutes to kill, hell yeah.

It doesn't do anything stand out or make something new, but it's a solid representation of what's come before and for a game jam game, the mood fits.

tl;dr: i like it, and while i know it can be better and see more that could come of it with potential, that's just what game jam games are meant to do. They're meant to make you want more, to want to expand upon the process. And this, while it's like many other games, clearly would benefit from being loved for a longer term. (of course, no pressure to do so, but leave this comment knowing you got a solid little game here that showcases you have a solid skill here, friend!!)

Or, like I did in browser, ctrl+ -, or zoom out and it works. It's not unplayable or anything, just not formatted correctly!!

Hey there! this game was fun, and.. I admit, I'm terrible at platformers, but this one reminds me of an old one I played on newgrounds ages back. Decpit1, though your's a softer kind. I mean, it has a very similar feeling. The controls are great and you only mess up if the /player/ messes up. The only two things I'd change about it is that one of the check points is right next to a saw. It saved me so close to the saw that a few times when I spawned in, I immediately got killed before I hit the ground. Not terrible since I did get to continue easily! Just a bit of a nit pick.
However.. When I got to the area where you had to leap from spring to spring, I fell into the pit. (once again, terrible at platformers here lol) And.. I didn't die. I guess I somehow missed a kill plane and I can't reset the level I was on nor can I jump high enough to kill the character. So I have to replay the game again in order to get there. :/ Which sucks.

So my advice!!

-When making checkpoints, assume that players may be that *one* person who's unlucky to get close to a trap. Make it a little bit safer or just out of reach of the killzone.

-Make an option to reset an area, like an immediate self kill. This would fix my second problem entirely.

Otherwise, the level design is fun, moderately challenging, and definitely ambient and lovely. I like this game a lot, and please, please, please do keep making games! This is a really cute, touching game, and I hope you make more like it. :)

I play this game on android. I can tell you, this game is super fun; for being free, it's well done. The game itself is smooth and runs well. (I play on a moto 4 so nothing super fancy) The only thing is that sometimes.. People aren't the best. Like every casual game, there are people who use... to put it bluntly, kkk/nazi names and typically, they're just trolls. There ARE good players, but there's a lot of trolls. People also don't go to the right language tab, so most often spanish speaking people go to the english servers and basically make it hard af to communicate.

Neither of those things are really the creator's faults, it's just an inevitability. Maybe there are ways to prevent it, but their staff shouldn't be blamed for a bad part of the community.

MAybe? I have no idea, but either way, both are addicting as heck.

This game was super fun! I loved it and.. It was really relatable, in an odd way? This creature intruding in on our room is odd, yet not totally foreign because they're strangely familiar. The whispering makes it feel more familiar, and.. YEAH, super nice, and much more unique for a horror themed game.

Though.. I tried to get all 27 combos, spent a bit over an hour doing so, and it said my dialouge history was blank, and I didn't get the extra dialouge. (Unless it means just seeing every outcome, oops.) But..

I want to know.. What is so important.. But I can't see it?! (It's so aggravating in a good, curiosity tickling way, to wonder about it.)

Spooky as heck and I loved every second of it. It made my heart race and tbh I'm paranoid and this is basically how my life is every day, lol.

It was simple but still actually scary. Loved it

this is a lot like a game I played a while back called toppling. All the main difference is that there have a dark filter and castle aesthetics.  I have no idea if you can still find it, but it's basically a game for a phone instead of pc

Hey, the more time you spend on it, the more you get to think of fun ideas! And I'm glad, because this is just so vivid and detailed. I can't commend your writing enough, especially for the amount of work and effort it takes to do a multi path story. It's consistently good and I hope you continue, even if life is bugging you. (We all get bothered by it. Don't worry, people will flock to quality no matter the time it takes.)

This is super cool and fun?? I'm excited for this. My twin showed me this with such enthusiasm and I have to say, well warranted. I love how you characterized your people, how different they are, and it's just really immersive. I was surprised that I got dragged into it so fast that I was almost startled when it ended. Keep up the hella good work dude, I'll be watching for this!!

PERFECTION INCARNATE... Much like Tonald Drump. That caterpillar hair just cries out to get DUNKED ON BIG BABY. (apologies to all babies)

Fun, easy, and builds a bit of atmosphere. A nice and simple game for halloween. I enjoyed it quite a bit, I gotta say!

I Like the idea of this, though the hit box on the trees are a little wonky, and I ended up climbing on air. I love the four colors you used, and like the other commenter, I think something to better distinguish the nuts and nests would be cool. The music is nice and relaxing, and I certainly think this could be polished into a little fun game. For a first try, this is pretty nice. B)

This was super cute!! I love the artstyle and the clothing options for this lil' game. I'd love to see this more fleshed out, maybe with doing mini games to buy accessories or other things? I dunno but this was a sweet lil' time spender.

Here's how my first playthrough went:

I clicked around trying to figure out what I was doing. I didn't really get the hook thing that much until a few minutes in, and it was slow. However..

I hopped into the water, and that was a mistake. I was missing so much stuff that I thought I should get, and a shark was immediately on me, pushing me away from the raft. I couldn't seem to get closer to the raft even after the shark left, I even tried jumping on it to get away, yet it only made it more obvious that I couldn't control well in the water.

My first playthrough ended quickly, with my fatigue not even up that high.

Second round went much better, I actually started building... until I died of dehydration. Whoops. That's on me to figure out though! I look forward to this game, and while there's issues right now, I know there's going to be a lot of updates and things to look forward too.

PERFECT.

I died by giving him doughnuts, and I must say:

This demo, and eventually this game too, will be a blessing upon this planet.

I will given my blood to the blood god because YES.

Hey Nami! I adore your work, and while I'm not normally a fan of this type of game(more slice of life-ish), I love this. This series makes me feel good! It's super cute, and I constantly run around to find all of the little secrets you put in there. They art style is super adorable, and I genuinely love it.

I keep telling my friends to play this and spread it around, and those who have have loved it and went on about it! I love the music and the cute..Well, everything. It's such a good game series, and I genuinely love how you make it.

I was curious, too, how long on average does it take for you to make these games? (including custom tilesets, sprites, etc.) I'm also an aspiring game developer, probably for RPG Maker VX ace too, and this game series is what made me really want to do more with it!! c:

This was such a cute demo. I'm basically in love with this already, and I don't commonly play through each end in games like this... And I feel like this will be one of the ones I'll not just play through all of them, but go back to play through my favorite endings. I love the art, music, style.. Just everything!! I'm so excited for this and I hope this comes out soon!! I know this will be a hit and if it's not--well, I'll be disappointed in the gaming community.

Super cute and fun!! I wish it was longer, but it's so good how it is!! uwu I hope to see more like this!!
