Oh lol. Thanks, I appreciate it!

Hey there, I'm having some issues with the program. On a fresh install, it didn't give me the default placeholder dude, and it won't let me navigate outside of the program's Godot file in order to pull anything from anywhere else. I'm using Windows 11 if that has any effect on it, and originally installed on Steam (that's where I first encountered the issue) before reinstalling from itch.io. I've also tried opening the program as admin and moving the appdata folder to the folder with the program- no dice, it just generates another folder in Godot that I can't navigate out of. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Yes please, the more info the better.

Hi! There's only a demo for now. The smaller file is the proof-of-concept build, a much older and more primitive version. Hope this clears it up!

Hm...that's not good. It's not giving you any errors about it not being 64-bit, is it?

Hm. What version of MacOS are you using?

Hi there, try moving it to your desktop. Macs often have conflicting permissions issues with RPG maker projects, let me know if the issue persists and I'll look into it.

I'm glad, haha! Hopefully you won't have to wait several more until I actually finish it, oops.

Thank you, I appreciate it! Here's to both of our games turning out great!

Alright, any feedback or have you just come to complain that you played a game you knew you wouldn't be interested in to begin with?

Yes! Progress is slow going, but it IS going. Mental health, ironically, is one of the biggest reasons why this is taking so long, haha.

Interesting...thanks, I'll look into that.

Currently it shouldn't take more than 2 hours.

Unfortunately, not yet. This is still the demo, the full game is still being worked on. I wish I had a better answer to when it will be ready than 'when it's done', but this is a passion project.

Thanks for the feedback, it's really appreciated- I'll take a look at all of the issues mentioned.  I'm also very glad you enjoyed the new demo, that makes me very happy to hear! Thank you!

Wow, thanks for such a thorough review! I'm glad the writing and mechanics resonated so well, I do intend to at least balance the anxiety mechanic so it can be relieved at times, which I hope will help game flow.

And thanks for your bug report- it shouldn't be doing that after Carna, I'll take a look at that and fix it for the next release. Thank you so much for your feedback and taking the time to leave your detailed thoughts, it means a ton!

Sure, I'll do better to make that clear in the future! Just head to the waiting room and go south from there.

Hi there, chances are you have the game saved somewhere your computer only has read permission- you'll want to put it in the documents folder, on your desktop, or somewhere else your computer should be able to have write permission. As this seems to be a problem with RPG Maker MV in general, I don't currently have a better solution than that, but I'm working on finding one. Sorry!

IIIIIT'S kinda late now but if I'm still able, I'd like to submit my demo build of Ghost Hospital. https://spitblaze.itch.io/ghost-hospital

Unfortunately, the game is still in development, and this is the fullest available version there is. Thank you for your support!

Thank you! I'm glad my goal of portraying how anxiety feels instead of just turning mental illness into yet another bugaboo has been so effective, I know that not everyone experiences this the same way but the overwhelming response from other sufferers of anxiety has been very encouraging! Thank you so much for your input, and I hope you'll feel just as satisfied with the final project!

Hm. I can't say I'm familiar with that issue. I have a few pieces of advice from experience and from looking up people's similar issues, though:

First, make sure that the files are in the documents folder, it's hard for the system to read/write if it's not in a read/writable directory.

Second, in your system preferences under Security and Privacy in General, make sure 'allow apps downloaded from anywhere' is activated, or else open the file via right-clicking and selecting 'open' in finder.

Third, I've seen people saying that re-ziping the files, uploading them via dropbox or google drive, and then re-downloading and re-unpacking them helps?? I have no idea why or if this would really work, but I suppose it's worth a shot.

I hope any of this helps, I'll keep doing some digging myself.

Thanks for speaking up!

OOOOOGH, it's such an honor to be compared to those games!! I can only hope we live up to your expectations, fingers crossed!!

Thank you! Some of the assets are RPG Maker default placeholders, yeah, but we're working to make sure as much of this game is original as possible. Thank you for the praise, we appreciate it!

Hey, what system are you running it on?

(1 edit)

Interesting...does this happen with any other RPG Maker MV games? I've never heard of this problem before, usually the game at least gives an error message when it crashes.

(Linux Fix is also on the way, dw)

Hopefully!

I'd be lying if I said OFF wasn't a major stylistic inspiration for this project lol

Thank you! Currently I'm aiming for the end of this year or early next year, but this being a passion project, it's a bit up in the air. Thank you for your patience!

Really? Strange. I'll have to go back in and see what that's about. Thanks for letting me know!

Thank you for your feedback, and thank you for the compliment!

I'm glad you are! And thanks for being patient, too, work is still being done!

Thanks for letting me know! I have no idea what RPG Maker is doing that mangles this so badly for Linux, but I'm looking into solutions. I'm tired of you guys not being able to play it!

Hi there! Updates have been a bit slow due to personal reasons (it's just me and a few other people making this game, please understand), but progress is still coming! With some luck I'm hoping to have the full project ready by late 2019.

Thank you so much! At the moment, the soundtrack is not buyable, but what does exist is on the youtube channel of our composer in a playlist! We hope you'll enjoy everything to come, too!

Thank you! I'm glad this game resonates so much with you, hearing people say this makes the whole thing worth it! Thank you very much, and I'll keep updating!

Hey there!

The halloween update was more of a progress report than an add-on. As much as I'd like to release the game incrementally, I plan to have a full release, and it'd probably be annoying for people to continually figure out how to migrate their saves. Keep an eye out, though, I plan to have the full version ready by this fall!

Well, that's because it is a demo! I hope to release the full game later this year, though, so hang tight! Thanks!
