I’ll repeat the message I sent above just in case:
Hi, sorry for the late reply. I think I had some kind of glitch on the site, because I was getting notifications that someone replied to my post, but I couldn’t actually see the replies under the post itself.
I’ve already found three artists, so unfortunately I won’t be able to offer you any work at this point. I had exams this week, so I didn’t have time to update the post status regarding the 2D art position.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi! Yes, of course, you can showcase your work for the game in your portfolio. As for that, I won’t have strict rules — just one thing: I’d prefer if my characters or related designs weren’t sold or reused for other people or projects. That would feel a bit strange, heh. Everything else doesn’t really concern me, especially since I’m not even paying for this.
I also have a limited amount of time to dedicate to this game since it’s not my main activity, so the pace will be quite relaxed
I looked through your portfolio. Since you mentioned that you have more works, I obviously can’t fully assess how well your style suits what I’m looking for. However, if you’re confident that you can convey a similar atmosphere and draw in a style that’s unfamiliar to you, then it’s worth giving it a try.
At the moment, no one else has responded to this post, so I don’t know yet if there will be others. I can draw a little myself, so although I don’t have experience with pixel art, I’m currently improvising my way through it haha.
Also, thank you for your advice. I’m new here, so I didn’t know how to properly post.
Hello everyone! I want to create my own game. It's called Porcelain Tears. The main issue for me right now is that my drawing skills are too low to be the illustrator for my own game. I’m a future Gestalt therapist, so I want the game to truly be called “psychological.” Personally, I will focus my efforts on the plot and mechanics. Most of the game will be in a pixel art style, but for the dialogue windows.
I am looking for enthusiasts who are willing to work from the start to the finish of the game. The game is not intended as a commercial project, but if it becomes popular later on, of course, I will share an agreed-upon portion of the revenue with those who helped create the game. For now, I consider this project a hobby, so I am looking for like-minded people who are interested in creating the game together with me for free. It’s important that you enjoy the atmosphere of the game and can convey it through your artwork. And of course, I expect warm and friendly collaboration. Let’s create this game with joy! Below are some more details about the game:
Genre: Psychological horror, adventure game.
Engine: RPG Maker MZ
Game vibes: Quiet, anxious loneliness. Doll-like aesthetics with a hint of cute goth. A blend of pastel melancholy with ghosts and their mysterious past.
Main Idea:
This is a game about loneliness, which you can’t always see but can feel with your whole body.
Description:
In a ghost village lives a porcelain doll. She looks almost human, but she insists she has no feelings or emotions. You can either become part of this world or be unnoticed forever. This world doesn’t always respond to words—sometimes, silence is the only answer.
I will attach a mood map of what I found on Pinterest that seems to match the atmosphere I imagine for this game. Thank you for your attention!
