Announcing my new silly micro TTRPG that I designed as part of the ‘Barely a TTRPG' jam! I had a lot of fun with it and I hope it finds it's audience!! Any feedback is welcome and appreciated, thankssss!

'Play As You Sleep' is a solo (or group) journaling game fuelled by your dreams. Through your preferred creative means - journaling, drawing, animating, painting etc. - you will explore what your 'dream self' got up to while you slept! The game is designed for solo play but can absolutely be shared with a group.

I will frequently be adding more community copies for those who can't afford the price!

Thanks! I thought it was a fun take

This is such a cute little game! I love the design; the little spirits are so sweet. I played as an adorable Mossling and had a great time working towards success or failure. It was super close there for a moment, but I managed to achieve Glade Peacefulness without waking my mentor. Phew!

There are a few things that could make it even more whimsical and a little more engaging. Firstly, I found myself not always reading the event descriptions, as there was not much vested interest beyond the numbers. Including a journaling element alongside the dice could help players feel more immersed in the world (I am also a sucker for a journaling element, so that could just be me, haha!). Secondly, a very minor thing that honestly does not impact overall gameplay too much: I found myself getting a little frustrated rolling repeat numbers towards the end. Adding a touch of variation to certain events might help keep things feeling fresh throughout.

I am an amateur designer myself, so please take my thoughts with that in mind; my own games are far from perfect! I just wanted to share what I experienced as a player and fellow creative.

That said, I really enjoyed the overall experience. The tone, setting, and guardian options all feel wonderfully cosy and imaginative. It is such a lovely concept that encourages relaxation and gentle storytelling. I love a cosy, whimsical experience that you can simply pick up and play, and Little Glade Guardian provides exactly that.

I have been meaning to try The Wandering Library as well, and will definitely be prioritising it!

Would love to hear your thoughts if you get around to playing, thanks!

I'm glad you had fun! Hopefully pearl cloverspirng will have better luck next time! <3

I really appreciate that, thanks!

Hey Folks! I finally got around to putting together a submission for the One-Page RPG jam and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out! This one is especially for my fellow interospective reflective pals looking to gamify yet another part of life!

‘My Growth is a Garden’ is a solo reflective journaling game about personal growth, inspired by nature’s diversity. On one piece of paper you will grow a unique garden by responding to prompts inside drawn or created shapes, each representing your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. No two creations will be alike. The game is designed for solo introspective journaling but can absolutely be played with another person or two.

I have community copies available and will keep adding more so keep an eye!

Thanks so much!

I love that! What a fun character to play. Thanks so much for all the game love :)

I'm so glad you enjoyed! I hope you continue to enjoy future play throughs. I appreciate your feedback so much :)

Thanks so much! I hope you enjoy. I'd love your thoughts once you've had a play through!

Hey everyone!! I finally got around to designing another game and I'm so happy with how it turned out!!

Initially created for the ‘Build a Better World TTRPG Jam', ‘Do Not Open Until The World Ends’ is a short solo journaling TTRPG about imagining a better future after the old world ends.

https://sock-monster-games.itch.io/do-not-open-until-the-world-ends

One day you happen upon a time capsule. What happens next will have you unpicking long-ago memories, deciphering strange objects and answering questions from the past. Through entries in your journal you will explore remnants of  a collective past to inspire hope for the future, in game and hopefully in life as well.

As I am still new in the TTRPG space, I am always open to additional play testing and constructive feedback, please and thank you? :)

Thanks for the comment, I'm so happy that you're enjoying it! :)

Thanks so much :) Love the comment on it being LARP-esque, I can really see that developing!

I left a comment on the main page too but I just wanted to say how much I admire the way that you used what is in principle such a 'simple' mechanic to make such a short and silly game feel like it had some genuine stakes. I genuinely could have kept playing indefinitely and will definitely be coming back to this one in future. Thanks for sharing the unique and fun idea with us. And stunning presentation as well!

I just had the most silly fun time playing through this. I may or may not have played 15 rounds and died every time... I got all the way to dying of illness in bed in my first round though so I'm taking that as a win! Thanks so much for sharing this fun fast game with the world!

Wow wow wow! thank you SO MUCH for the incredibly detailed feedback, I appreciate it so so much!!

I am so glad that the graphic design did exactly what I hoped it would, I was super happy with how it turned out and am happy to see that other people like it too :)

Journalling mechanics are more familiar to me than more physical aspects of RPGs so the feedback is incredibly helpful. I love the idea of the unique hex boards/obstacles as an expansion/improvement and am definitely making a note of that! I must admit the use of the standard hex grid was purely an attempt to stick to the ‘one page’ (in that someone *technically* could just use their own hex grid of the same size… just trying to be sneaky hehe!)

Thank you so much for the overall feedback on my creations, I appreciate it so so much. I can’t wait to see what I make next either… being that the ideas have yet to come to me haha!

Thanks so much! I'm so happy with how it turned out. I hope you enjoy it when you do try it out. It's thanks to the jam that it became a reality so thanks to YOU! ✨

Ooooh that is such a fun idea!

I just uploaded my second ever solo one page TTRPG. It uses the mechanics of the wikipedia game. I am so happy with how the design turned out and would love any play testing/feedback? I feel like the design is giving 'graphic design is my passion' and I'm so here for it!

‘Descend into Disaster’ is a short solo TTRPG, combining the mechanics of 'The Wikipedia Game' with journalling. The game is playable in 30 minutes, although it can take longer, dependent on how detailed your journalling is. The concept of the game is usually competitive but in this game is it is used mainly as a mechanism by which to progress your imagined story towards disaster through journalling. There's no reason you couldn't play with a friend or two though!

Let me know what you think if you do check it out!

This is honestly the epitome of how this game should be played. I hope you enjoy! 🐞✨

I've just released my first ever solo TTRPG, it's a beautifully sunny spring day in England so it's feeling very appropriate. As a newbie, I would greatly appreciate any constructive feedback or tips :) Thanks for reading and possibly taking the time to check out my cute lil' passion project!

https://sock-monster-games.itch.io/fairy-garden-fixer

‘Fairy Garden Fixer’ is a short solo TTRPG, combining journalling with cozy, scaled-down, hex-based exploration. The game is playable in 30 minutes to an hour, although it can take longer, dependent on how detailed your journalling is.

As a fixing fairy, your role is to fix rundown fairy gardens using locally sourced resources. Following the provided prompts, you'll explore your imagined surroundings in search of resources, keeping a journal as you go.

To play, you'll need a 6-sided die, a coin, your preferred journalling materials, a 5x6 hexagonal grid (printable PDF available), and an optional trinket to use as a counter.

I have just sat down to properly start work on my game so thought it'd be a good time to jump in. I'm starting a new project from scratch for the jam. I needed a push to finally start, finish and publish something so I'm hoping this is it! My game isn't going to be particularly spooky (but who know where it'll go). The current plan is for it be a solo journaling RPG where the player completes a variety of task to be initiated into and progress within a cult. I think the main mechanic will be card based but I'm open to just seeing where it goes... Don't have masses planned out beyond that, just kind of jumping in and seeing what happens!

@emgiosia, what a fun premise! So glad you're feeling proud of it so far. Excited to see the finished game!

This sounds so fun, can't wait to see how it turns out!

Hey hey hey! Complete newbie here 👋 Excited to be creating alongside you all! Thanks so much for hosting @emgiosia
