I'm like a dog (noun), and this game is like a bag of dog treats. It just keeps on giving. Honestly that's my favorite type of game in these jams: it just has really simple, easy-to-understand, fun gameplay and then builds on it with tons of great levels. Every new level was a pleasant surprise and really got me excited by the end of each countdown. I got that dawg (dog) in me.
Haha this is rad! It takes some getting used to the controls especially since the buttons for your actions are always changing, but I like how it encourages me to think strategically about what I wanna do and then do it. The dog and cats and music are very cute, I would love to see more levels that put your cards to the test!
The graphics and designs in this game are top-notch! I love the aesthetic and the tactical feel of it. Despite my many many tries I couldn't get past very many rooms, I'm not sure if it has to do with card drawing or enemy RNG, or if I there was something I wasn't getting. But the two resources in the game are really cool and thematically very fitting so this game was a treat to find!
Wow! This game gets better the more you play for sure. At first I was a bit underwhelmed with the choices between attacking and blocking and I found it very difficult time the time stop properly to attack and block at the right times. But once you get upgrades, new moves, and fight new enemies, a whole new realm of strategy and creative ideas opens up, so for that I gave this game a high creativity and enjoyment rating.
Very neat visual style! The movement system has a lot of potential I think for people who are willing to master it. It took me a while to figure it out but once I got going I was traveling leaps and bounds. Unfortunately my arms got tied together and I could do nothing but let go and fall back to the beginning, but this is still a really cool idea nonetheless!
Crazy great idea here! The ability to dig your own paths combined with the power to place walls makes this a very thoughtful game, even if the wall is quite expensive. I can see lots of potential in this game with different possible turrets or minerals in the ground that incentivize the player to dig even more. Plus I love the sound it makes when you get metal
I love anomaly games like this and I'm glad you brought one to this game jam! I beat the game and got the royalty free cake. Some music or walking sound effects would make the game more bearable when going for the ending, but the gameplay itself is simple and approachable and causes the player to doubt their own sanity lol
