Its a good concept, but the controls, combat, visuals should all probably get a new coat of polish and the game desperately needs audio. Interesting idea though, pretty cool to have a game with two player characters, haven't seen that at all anywhere else in the jam

Really cool idea! I love the juggling a bunch of tasks style of game you had going on here and the way you incorporated it with a computer desktop interface. Definitely fits in with both "wild" and "unpredictable rules," so kudos on that. The biggest downside for me is how quickly it stopped ramping, I would've loved to see a bunch of different minigames show up and each minigame getting harder with time limits becoming harsher until you eventually fail. Pretty quickly it felt like I was kinda just coasting and nothing new was really surprising me. Additionally, there was no score mechanic, so there wasn't any drive, arbitrary or not, to continue. Very cool, great job!
I think you are definitely on to something with this idea. I love the random nature of changing the gameplay entirely from segment to segment, jumping from a runner to a quickdraw game and back again is pretty neat. I think the visuals were really cool and definitely a highlight of the project. Although, I almost wish the visuals were a bit more wild/crazy/exaggerated to reflect the type of game you created. Definitely a cool game, great job!
Very cool game you've made! The attack feels great and I am very surprised with how much you were able to create in a week :). I can see you took a lot of inspiration for hollow knight, notably with the designs, combat, and movement. I think the biggest qualms with me are the visuals and lack of options from the player. Having only one attack (while it can be used for movement and attack, which is cool) felt very limiting. Additionally, the use of the limitation felt very hammered in, kind of just a "fuck it, sure" type thing. You had a really cool player hud with health and money, and then the main gimmick of the jam is just a pixel font on the bottom right corner that cut off out of the screen sometimes. The types of rules that were in the game were also pretty bare bones, speed up the game, low gravity, double money, etc. were all just number tweaks and didn't really offer much new gameplay so much so that it feels more of a hamper to the gameplay than additive. Very amazing job with how much you got done, and I can see this project being really interesting!
Awesome game, great presentation of ideas and visuals! There's not much I can say bad about this game at all, on level 6 the freeze mechanic stopped working for some attempts but that was the only bug I found. I will say, there was a noticeable spike in difficulty after round 5. I was cruising pretty easily until duplicating full senses cobb, I got consistently rocked and eventually just gave up. When cobb can smell, it defeats the point of darkness a little bit and was a bit annoying for me. Another peeve for me was that I loved the idea of a trade off between candle and darkness and playing around light very cautiously, but the moment you get seen and he runs into hearing radius you're totally boned. With previous rounds, without hearing, you could occasionally escape through the darkness, which felt a lot better but still very threatening. I would get pretty far into level 6 with all coal and a few breakers and I would get caught out of the corner of cobb's eye and I would just be like "welp, that sucks" because there'd be no chance of escape. Super amazing job, you guys are definitely on track to win from the games i've played so far :)
You did a really good job with the art concepts, but there's not much going for this game otherwise. As far as the limitation, the most unpredictable part of this project was getting softlocked 3 seconds in lol. I really hope you get to make an awesome project with this super cool character in the future!
Cool game! I liked the constantly changing rules idea based on cards you play. There were a lot of interesting card effects and I think there's serious potential. However the stretched sprites and overall presentation could've used a little work. Additionally, with the win condition of having zero cards, I got soft locked because two cards of mine could never be played ever no matter how much I tried. I really love the idea, but I think it could use some after-jam polishing. Great project!
