Hey! Thanks for playing, or at least trying to. I'm really sorry to hear your game froze, I didn't hear about that happening to anyone until now. If you try the latest update that I just released ~15 minutes ago, I added a save/load system so you won't lose your progress this time. Try it out and let me know :)

Thanks for the awesome review! The pacing has been changed a bit in the next update. I shaved about 10 minutes off of the playtime if you bee-line it. Hope to see you again soon!

Hey! Thanks for playing! You may have noticed me mention it in previous comments, but there are balance changes and the ability to 'skip' through the dialogue coming in update 2 :). Also, I fixed the vacuum in update 2.

Thanks for playing til the end!! The flowers do rgenerate but I'm sure you had a lot of fun collecting them all haha. Hats are coming in the next update, along with some balance and gameplay changes. Stay tuned!

This was a cute little experience, the art was gorgeous and I liked your setting menu addition! I kept trying to pick up the clippers to trim my flowers! Very cozy game though!

Huh. I thought I tried that, but ended up dying. I'll have another go!

OH! Yeah, that makes things a bit easier haha. Also you're welcome! I too have ambitious plans for my game!

Wow, Godot is really becoming powerful when it comes to 3D! This game is underrated. I just wish it was longer, I wanted to see what was on that mountain. Also, I couldn't fullscreen the game for some reason.

A bit of a spooky one! It's very artistic, I wonder what its meaning is. I'm excited to see where you take this game, and what kind of lessons I have to learn from it. Don't feel too bad for not making the Game Jam window, you still made an intriguing game!

Thanks for playing my game! A question for you: Is the gameplay too slow, or is there not enough to do? I'm considering either adding more gameplay in the next update, or simply increasing the sell price of the honey. I too noticed the running faster 'bug', I'll patch that in the next update unless people want to use it for bee-hopping :P

I love the cats, plants, and good vibes! The gameplay was cozy. I did have an issue on my 1440p monitor (Desktop build) where there were black glitchy lines? Unsure. Anyways, great job!

This might be the most visually impressive 3D game in the jam. I'm jealous of your artwork! The gameplay was pretty fun too, hunting around for the bones. However the game did enter it's win state when I only had 2 of the 3 bones collected. Some audio would really spice things up too.

What I want to know is how you got your filesize so small??

Very cute! I couldn't quite figure out the combo system, but that's okay, it was still fun :)

Here you feel the serenity of the salty sea and reinvigorating spring.

Hey... what do I have to do with the salty sea??

This game has a very creepy atmosphere... which I love! It's almost like a liminal space? The fishing was a little wonky (about half of the time my bobber would revolve around me) but I managed. I enjoyed the vibe. I didn't quite understand the ending but it definitely weirded me out, which I think is what ya'll were going for. Good job!

Glad to hear you had a great time! Thanks for playing!

Yeah, I used the shotgun on them to no avail. I'm not sure.

Noted! It's now on the list. Thanks for playing!

I did indeed! Ah, I'm not too familiar with Godot, probably why I didn't recognize it :). Still a fantastic job!

I really liked your drawing game! The controls were nice and intuitive, much like interacting with real-world art tools. For the checklist I wish the arrow stayed in it's place when it scrolled down. Other than that, awesome job! How did you get the canvas working? So cool!

The movement could use some physics I think, but it's definitely a cute little game! I couldn't figure out how to defend against the worms though :(

What a fun little game! I beat it pretty quick. I'd definitely like to see where this game might go if you plan on expanding it. My only problems/critiques:

  • I can't dig up the plant on the far right corner. It's stuck under the sidebar menu.
  • The noises of the people talking were.. creepy? Funny? Both?
  • You made me exploit low-income housing people for money 😭

Overall nice work, keep it up! You've earned a follow!

Short, sweet, and a tad difficult! Did ya'll do this without an engine? If so, great job!

This was so cute and cuddly! The theming and art were wonderful, and the photography mechanic was super cool. I couldn't find the mystery photograph, though I probably could have tried harder. I was sad when it ended. Great job!

From the picture I'm quite excited to try this game out. A shame it wasn't uploaded!

The artwork is so cute, and the gameplay is fun as well! I was also a bit confused on how to progress though, and also didn't understand the point of the counter. I'd also maybe add an alternative interact button to S, as I had to go back to the tutorial sign to figure that one out. This might be my favorite artistic game of the jam :)

I can definitely see some potential here, but I quickly ran out of ammo and none of the enemies would die, even at 0 health. Was there something else I needed to do to kill them? Also, some more info and screenshots on the game page would be nice :)

Thanks for playing! Those are fair critiques, I was concerned that the pacing was too slow. How would you improve the pacing? Would simply increasing the honey sell price be enough, or should there be other changes? As for Bee Guy, I'll likely either add a way to skip the dialogue or add a separate page for instructions with Bee Guy only providing 'lore'. Stay tuned!

This game's art and music really cranked the cozyness up tenfold! I really admire your placement system and would love to know how you made it work. Some things I would change include:

  • Inputs were slightly confusing, I kept having to reference the itch page. Mousewheel alone to switch items would be enough, for example.
  • Maybe a way to earn money rather than a slowly generating money pool? Maybe you sell your photos?
  • I couldn't get the mailbox working :( (Desktop version)

Overall great job!

Thanks for trying my game! I'll be sure to try yours out too tomorrow. On the issue of progress, I was worried the game wasn't balanced as I didn't get much time to play test. Do you have any ideas or suggestions for how to improve that? I was thinking of increasing the sell price for honey to 25 (up from 15). For Bee Guy, did you find he talked too much during the intro text or did you find the 'fun facts' annoying? Again, thanks for playing! :)

By far the cutest artwork of the game jam from what I've seen! I also noticed the selling-items-infinitely glitch. No biggie, more money! Also I'm extremely impressed you made a GBC game for this game jam in 3 days. My only critique is I wish there was more!!

This game had wonderful art, all of the characters were very unique and fun.  Had a bit of trouble reading the UI especially on the right hand side, and sometimes when a property of the ingredient was negative it would appear on a new line, which made it slightly confusing. It also launched on the wrong monitor. The music was very fitting, and the gameplay was easy and clear. Overall a very aesthetically pleasing game with a fun gameplay.

What a fun game! The only issues encountered were the start menu (had to spam Z to get the game to start) and it took me a hot second to figure out how to shoot the gun. Maybe adding numbering to the steps would help?

I really like your art, it's super cute!

Hey! Your game was the first one I played from this game jam. It was pretty cool, nice concept! But very difficult. Maybe the addition of difficulty levels would be nice?

This game's art style is so cute :)

...At least until one of my ducks got eaten by a hawk. I was horrified!

Unfortunately we don't have an Oculus to test, however we did have a reproducible issue where shaders didn't work that we fixed in a new build we're working on. Thank you for the feedback!

Rename the exe! My idiot self changed the name of the exe. Name it VRGameJam2019.exe, for it to launch. Very sorry.
