Woah. Thank you for such c comprehensive review! I will try my best with next jam.

Thank you!

Thank you. To be honest I've tried few jams before and I always stuck at theme and overscope. So this time I've tried to just finish game without overthinking. So theme is loosely adapted. Nothing fancy :)

Suggestion for adding 4th option.

"Accounts that are younger than 30 days must use rating queue"

Hej. First of all, thank you for asking! <3

Unfortunately, I was making this game in Godot 4.0, which is in alpha state right now. On day 7 when I was trying to export the game, I discovered a bug. That bug prevents me from exporting game to HTML or even Windows .exe.

So the game is done but I just couldn't submit it to jam :(

Maybe In the near future when and if they fix that bug I will upload it to my itch :)

Soooo... I can't export my game :)

I was using Godot 4.0 that is in alpha stage (yea I know, right...? :P) and for some reason I can't export game to HTML also when I try to export to exe it does not work (it just open and closes 1 sec after). Does anyone use Godot 4.0 and have any idea how to fix it?

A littlebit of an update on my game. I managed to do most of the basic systems (portrait is temporary from some artist online I will change it for my own art soon).

So, most mechanics works fine. ID have random generation on almost everything, from name, to adress, to serial number etc. Similar for money.

Now I need to polish graphics and I will probably try to add something more to make game more engaging. Right now it is really simple and not so much fun :P Oh well, first 7 days jam ever.

That's pretty neat idea and probably easy to implement. I will probably try to add it!

I am doing simple "Papers, please" style game where you play as cashier and need to find IDs and money that are fake (not real). Still heavy work in progress.

(top right grey box is just for debug purposes)

The idea is that you need to find fake documents. So "This is not real" refers to fake ID or cash or something else. I will try to make it more obvious in finished game :)

Thank you!

For now I want to implement 2-3 simple ones. If I will have more time I will add more.

For now: Bill Serial Number (lack of it or just wierd number), ID Expiration Date (for example ID is expired) and probably ID and Bill watermark or lack of it.

Hello, I just wanted to share my process here. I've spent first day on looking for nice, simple idea. It is inspired by Papers, please. You are a cashier in a shop. You work with clients that are not always truthful. They have fake ID or fake money. You need to be careful :).

So for now I managed to make a little prototype.  From now on I'll try to just make basic systems and polish it :)

Try doing something really, really, really simple. Just do something that you can implement in 1 day (leave 2-3 days for polish). Theme is optional (kinda).  It's your first jam so take it easy on yourself :)

The most important part of jam is just to have fun, learn and finish something.

This should be native for Godot. Great job.

It's kinda double edge sword. Stopping someone with 89m/h can also be little bit frustrating :D But I am glad you liked it!

Totally agree. I am prepering to add few stuff after jam ends. Thanks for feedback!

Simple, yet super fun to play. I feel like some puzzles was kinda hard? But with more time it could be easly fixed.

Loved SFX :D (French one and "Thank you" was super nice)
It's funny how hard it starts to get when you need to remember 3 parts :P

Thanks! Lack of sound was just a time problem. I didn't manage to add it in time (also it is basically my 2-3 quick few hours game ever made - so I am still noob). About red and green I 100% agree with you. I will probably fix this after jam ends :)

Thank you! Fun fact: It took me literally 30 seconds to add this and it is also my fav feature of the game :D

Thank you!

Overall cool game but attack on Z spin on C and jump on Space is not really comfortable to play.

Love mechanics with axe.

Kinda hard puzzles with not alot of clues but enjoable to solve nonetheless

I agree if you continue to work on it, I think it would be nice to add some player adventage like in a celeste (coyote jump etc).
