I do NOT understand how this game has so little ratings. You definitely deserve more than that. Especially with the art, sound and story. I will probably come back to this after the game is fully finished. Thank you so much for your entry ♥

I have mentioned it in a previous reply, but our team will look into that! Usually you can just click on "more information" and then "run anyway". But if that is not working, it's definitely an issue. I never had an issue with running it on my PC (I am using Windows Defender as well). :(
Thank you for attempting thought ♥
Loved the art direction on this one. Would totally buy this on Steam! I got stuck after getting my second upgrade though and didn't know what to do. Loved how creative the gameplay mechanics are. MAGNOLIA deserves more downloads and ratings. Can't believe nobody is playing this.
EDIT: If you see how often I edited this comment.... I´m sorry. I kept putting more spelling errors than I fixed.
Thank you so much for playing our game! I understand the ZXC being YXC issue very well, since we probably have the same QWERTZ layout. I believe our programmers have the QWERTY layout though. I also believe the person that worked on the rhythm section placed the notes by hand. We plan on improving some of the concerns you have though -- in our post-jam update. So if you want to play the game after, we'd be honored to have you back.
I love the way the cursor is in the shape of a hand! The entire game reminds me a bit of the White Knuckle concept -- which is not a bad thing at all! As others said, this is such an atmospheric game that I see the potential for actually winning at least one of the categories. ♥
The game's sound however seems a bit quiet so I don´t think you can avoid the enemy much. I think I just have to get good, but as of now I always die to the monster right after talking to the dog a second time. Is there a definite indicator as to when the enemy creeps up to you?
This reminds me of another Indie game that uses the scan mechanic and I really love how others pick it up. Because I think this is such an atmospheric way of navigating a space. Well done ♥
However, as others have pointed out, it is hard to find things simply because of how hidden some of the items are (looking at you key in the beginning I thought I could not reach) and because there are no real quest markers. The space also seems bigger than it probably is and I found myself running in loops trying to find the things I need to find. I did abuse the infinite scan bug to filth. Which... can take away the scare factor a bit since you scan constantly.
Again, good job at using such an interesting mechanic. Would love to play an updated version of this.
I really would not have thought to encounter a game mechanic like this in a game jam. So: Very well done on the creativity part! Reminds me a bit of the game Ghostrunner. I would love to see this in a more fleshed out version somewhen in the future ♥
Now, I did encounter a few problems, which probably are not that hard to fix: I found the player character sometimes not wall-climbing properly. But I guess I just hit the walls in a weird angle. The only other thing really, is the fact that I would love a bit more explanation as to why we are running from death (?) or are death but running (?). I was quite a bit confused on the story part of this.
But again, thank you for blessing this game jam with your game!!!
I do not know whether or not one of my teammates suggested our game, so I am going to myself: https://itch.io/jam/jamsepticeye/rate/3925812
It´s a narrative based rhythm game ♥
I really liked the graphics, music and idea behind the reset.
But for some reason I couldn´t pass on after I opened the gate to paradise. There was this one platforming section to the far right with the enemy that killed me faster than I could kill it. So maybe I am the problem because I also could not climb up in that section. Can anyone give me any pointers, please?
.
I will definitely replay this game later when my brain works better :"D
Neat game about one of my favorite meal ever: The Sandwich!
The battle mechanics were a bit confusing to me as I missed the tutorial text right in the beginning of the game. So I had to figure it out myself. BUT other than that a huge compliment to the team! The pixelart and music are very well done ♥
As someone else already mentioned it is a bit hard to know when you do reset your spawn point. For the second altar for example, I thought I had pressed [F] for long enough, but I guess not because the second I respawned I found myself at another spawnpoint. Other than that I think it´s a neat little puzzle platformer! Two of my favorite genres in one??? Count me in ♥
