I love the way the cursor is in the shape of a hand! The entire game reminds me a bit of the White Knuckle concept -- which is not a bad thing at all! As others said, this is such an atmospheric game that I see the potential for actually winning at least one of the categories. ♥
The game's sound however seems a bit quiet so I don´t think you can avoid the enemy much. I think I just have to get good, but as of now I always die to the monster right after talking to the dog a second time. Is there a definite indicator as to when the enemy creeps up to you?

There should be a sound indicator for when the enemy is close, but as you said it might be a little low volume. You are not the only one who has gotten a little stuck after talking to the dog a second time, so not as much a you problem. I should probably adjust that part a little so it is easier to get away. (A little hint for getting past it though: don't climb down)
