Am I allowed to embed these tracks within a Windows app I'm developing? (it's not a game, though.)
The app is for commercial use.

A Craft of Mine is a very interesting and fresh horror interpretation of Minecraft. i don't think I have ever heard of any horror fan game set in the world of Minecraft before. Despite a couple of glitches I encountered during the game, the whole experience was very smooth and the final battle with the eye boss mildly challenging. I quite enjoyed my time with it.
Here's my take on this game.
Hi! after I passed the dinosaur room, I'm inside another room (the one where it's written "All hail the table"). Then in the library through the first door on the left side, I find a stone and a stick but there is no instruction on what I should do with them, so I wasn't able to continue because, in the second door, there is a stone which I can't break. Not sure if it's a bug or if I missed a clue.
Nice one! But I found a few problems: 1) sometimes the mouse movement gets stuck towards one direction and to unstuck it I need to turn 360 degrees on the other way, 2) the "dinosaur" monster in the dark room occasionally gets stuck at the entrance so we have to die in order to restart the level, 3) I couldn't find anywhere the instruction to building a pickaxe after I passed the dinosaur room. Unless it was very well hidden or I missed something. So I wasn't able to continue. Overall it's pretty nice, I like it. I will make a video if I'm able to finish it.
Silent Nights is a touching story of a grandmother grieving the loss of her beloved one, mixed with a few scares. Considering that it's the developer's first game, it was well made and a short horror experience worth a try. I completed the game in about half an hour. Keep up the good work and looking forward to trying your next game!
Peter's House is a simple, short but very effective horror game. In overall, it's well paced and I like the attention to detail the developer put in the game: for example, the shadow figure outside of the window was very subtle and not easy to spot, but once you see it, it was creepy. Also well done with the sound design which helped to keep the game eerie.
The game looks very pretty but I had problems with my Quest 2, for example, I wasn't able to interact with objects where requested. Also, the movement is pretty slow... is there any workaround?
I was using Virtual Desktop, do you think that could be the issue? I will also try with oculus Link later today.
Hi,
I'm currently looking for a 2D artist who would like to help me draw the original characters of the game I'm working on. This is a project that I'm doing on my own and I started it weeks ago. Right now, I'm writing down the game design and doing some prototypes here and there to get a feeling of how the game should look like.
Recently I have been in touch with a few 2D artists but, unfortunately, I haven't found someone yet so I'm reposting this topic by adding a few more details.
- About the game:
- the core of the story: it's a classic hero story similar to Super Mario, with the Hero going through a series of worlds and sub-levels in order to save his beloved, fighting a boss at the end of each world and then facing the Main Antagonist at the end of everything
- how my game differs: other than the main core I described above, there will also be an original story for this game (although not too complex), there will be general enemies and hazards to hinder the Hero's quest and different environments for each World.
And, most importantly, the main feature of the game is to combine gaming with the learning (and culture) of an Asian language, in this particular case it's going to be Chinese (to begin with). For example, during his quest, the Hero will unlock items that will test the Player on Chinese characters through trial and error. The more the Player learns, the higher his XP will get.
I want to create a good balance between gaming and learning so that the learning part doesn't become too invasive or frustrating.
Here some key points for your reference:
- Drawing style: ideally, I'm looking for someone who could draw anime-style, cel-shaded characters. The characters should also include a series of animation sheets that I could import into Unity3D
- Look & Feel: as the game story is set in the future, I'm expecting the main characters to have a cartoonish, fantasy/cyberpunk look
- About my budget: it's not much, to be honest, so I think I could offer around 25 USD per character, including a set of animations, as a small thank you for your effort
- Rev share: if this project is successfully completed and released someday, and if I use your asset/s in the published release, I'm also open to discussing revenue share, if there is any revenue at all
- About the assets produced: the original characters that will be designed should be available for this project only, and shouldn't be resold to someone else for another project
- Original Characters that I may need:
- Revamping of the Hero (in the video below, you can see how it looks like now)
- The Hero's Girl
- The Main Antagonist
- 4-5 Side Bosses
- 2 - 12 supporting characters on the hero's side
Here below is a very simple prototype I made: not much going on at the moment but it's mostly to show how the current Hero looks like.

Hi Lirio
thanks for your comment and sorry for my late reply.
Currently, I'm working on the game design document and doing some prototyping here and there as I go in order to get down the game vision.
What I envision is a game with a simple but engaging story theme in the style of Super Mario (the hero going to save his beloved) across several worlds and each world with a certain number of levels. At the end of each world, the hero will fight a boss and then the main antagonist at the end of the last world. The main feature of the game will focus on learning a language (in this case Chinese - but without overdoing it as I want the players to enjoy a good balance between game and learning) and the more the player learns, the better the hero's XP will get.
Finally, the game environment will incorporate fantasy/sci-fi elements both in the tilemap and the enemies looking.
I'd like to give the game a jolly atmosphere with some melodies that could stick in the player's mind, a bit like that song I shared in my post.
At the moment I'm looking for a theme song that could represent the game and later on some loopable melodies for each level or world.
If you would like to share the music you composed before I would love to give it a listen.
Hi All!
I'm currently working on a fantasy/sci-fi side-scroller game that combines Chinese language learning with gaming, featuring a hero that fights through several worlds to get to his beloved who has been kidnapped by the main antagonist.
Right now, I'm looking for a music composer who would like to compose a theme and some loops for the game.
Ideally, I'm looking for something happy, dynamic, and melodic like this one:
Below is a screenshot from my game's early prototype (1st level). It's a work in progress that I have started a few weeks ago so there isn't much gameplay to it yet.
I'm a solo developer with a limited budget but if you are interested I'm definitely open to discussion.
