Very interesting concept! I personally am a fan of the era so I might be biased, but great visual design and music choice! I love the fact that I can just hand out booze to people if I don't know what to say. Wish that works in real life too.

Thank you! Improve the snapping is top on our priority list. Ideally we want it to be something that makes it more convenient to place things, rather than being unreliable and gets in the way.  At its current state it certainly needs some fixing. We'll be testing more ui arrangements as well. Appreciate the feedback!

Thank you!

Thank you! Yes I agree, judging from the feedbacks we've got so far, the ui could certainly benefit from some rework. Hopefully we can come up with a cleaver solution that fits the visual style and readability!

I like the visual! It was a very comedic experience. I played two rounds, choosing only words that conveyed my situation.  Didn't work, my phone exploded and I died. I played one extra round after reading through the comments, and picked every single word that I could pick. I was rescued in like 10s.

Great visuals! All of the design elements seems very coherent and fits the overall style. Nice level design as well. The concept of the game seems to require a lot of unique assets, as well as distinct and easy to remember zones, and I think you guys accomplished exactly that.

Great presentation! All of the art and shader effects looks fantastic. I love the opening and the font design of the title.

Thank you so much! We believe in the core game progression of "more regulations means more restrictions, but also more ways to exploit", if we can execute this concept well. If we decide to expand on this project after this jam, we definitely want to maintain this spirit throughout the entire game.

Thank you! You can probably tell, our artist had a great time making that illustration as well.

Thank you! If we decide to keep working on it after this jam, tutorial levels definitely need more work, so that players can better form strategies around the conditions.

Thank you! Glad you liked it! We had several ideas for how to display the informations, and how transparent we want those numbers to be. At the moment they are a bit unintuitive and can feel random at times. Hopefully we can find a solution that's more intuitive and knowable, while also allowing unforeseen outcomes, so that there are room for both strategies and surprises.

Thank you! Yes,  at this moment, the snapping, the grid, and the printer are not as responsive and controllable as they could have been. We do have some possible solutions in mind that we want to try, hopefully we can find a way to make it intuitive and easy to control at the same time.

Thank you! We are glad you liked it!

Thank you! Glad you liked it! Because reading ducuments and numbers on labels is going to be such a central part of gameplay, texts, fonts and GUI in general is definitely something we need to improve. We also went back and forth between using grid snapping and letting the player place them everywhere; hopefully we can come up with a solution that has the best part of both approaches.

Thank you! Yes, Papers Please was one the of insiprations. And I agree, if we decide to keep working on it after this jam, we definitly want to add more layers to the rules in the game. The label printer is also something that we need to keep working on.
