oh that game looks really pretty, love the fogginess between layers. good luck!

me? no just some pixel art things

woah your games look incredible! so many details in just a few pixels

I just played it :) addicting! loved the smoke coming off the tail too

that was so fun. really well made. the smoke on the tail looked amazing btw

love the subtle change of perspective of the houses and the grass looks so dreamy. I'm diggin it!

Incredible! I sent this to a few friends and family and wish I was there to play together.

Really well made, mechanics were picked up quickly and we had fun. Thanks so much!

super cool. I love a good outline too

I paint but still have trouble finding colors digitally. This website is pretty cool, you can download the palette into Aseprite and probably most programs. I also started to think of giving highlights a sun-like  "yellow" tint, and having the shadows be closer to the actual color, with maybe an exaggerated deepening of that color by increasing either blue, red or green to darker hues.  The yellow highlight feels like the warm sun rays hitting only some parts of the image- just some shade under a tree seems inviting because its closer to the "real" color

classic :)

oh my gosh soooo cute! i love the art style, what program did you use to design it?

Thanks! I haven't tried 3D yet but would love any pointers on where to start/what people need.

I would love to branch out and try new programs so any advice is apreciated

hello! this looks really well done

would you like to make a game together?

sweet, it looks cool

Hello!

I make pixel art/animations in Aseprite and have used Godot a bit. Looking to work with experienced programers for the jam

looking forward to meeting you

Hello!

I use make pixel art/animations in Aseprite which would work perfectly for this jam. I've used Godot a bit but will need to team with an experienced programer. I look forward to meeting you.

yeah Its always cool to see what people are up tp

Hello I'd love to join a team if its not too late :)

I do pixel art/ animation with Aseprite but I'm up for learning anything. I've used Godot a bit as well.

whatcha working on

I love your idea of letting people play in browser and giving them the choice to see the game the way that developers do, and sending them the code.

A few things that I've learned on itch.io: majority of the audience are game collectors who appreciate the artist- reading dev logs, seeing updates, downloading sprites, looking at code etc, and people are willing to drop a few bucks on quality- I know I have and I'm working with a tight budget.

When you can bring every step of the process of a game into the view, people love to see how you did it. Sketches of background/characters, sprites and animations (run left, attack, etc) and the code and how it all comes together. Its a beautiful thing

Personally I dont like posting my art on public platforms like youtube/instagram/twitter, it can feel so fake. But if people are on itch.io and scrolling around they are in a different mind set than someone scrolling on insta/youtube and can see past the bologna posts/ buskers and see the real artists who put time and thought into their final products and want people to use them.

$2-3 is a great price, it covers fees and what not. In my opinion $1 causes more problems than it solves depending on that website. Bundling things together helps customers save too. you can make iframe widget to copy paste into post that you want to bundle (example in my signature)

Best of luck in your enDEaVors

wow the room looks amazing. I've been having trouble with the dementions on my rooms (floors/walls etc)

color palette is great too!

ooooooomg! that is so cool. some of the coolest pixel art ive ever seen

I submitted one pack, a pack of 70 pixel art rugs,  that I love so dearly. It fits the spring theme but not the sale parameters but I have been inspired to add to my collection. Wallz and Floorz next :) I wont finish in time but I can have a sale on my page. Another reason to love itch.io

There are so many ways to continuously interact with this site. you can work with people on jams, chat about art styles, make a collection together like this sale.  I'd love some tips on how to use this site better or any upcoming events and jams.

best of luck in your enDEaVors

(You can create a custom signature like this by going to your ithc.io project/ or dashboard, at the top it says wiget. You can create an iframe code that you can copy and paste along with your closing signatures. Just copy the entire signature and save it in a google doc for use in future. I love seeing little ways to make the post more engaging. If you've got any cool tips like this, plz send them my way)

how do I toast the bread?

edit:figured out- the fireplace. I love the way you did that

Love the game!

Poems and Songs, and short stories are my passions. I also like to write dialogue with a friend but if I'm working alone, you gotta do what you gotta do. I like sharing a good laugh and going off the rails

As far as gaming goes, I've been doing some storyboarding and early development in that aspect. Seeing the story all the way through

wow your game looks incredible! I cant wait to get pick it up honestly. great work

wow really interesting take, I checked out your page and your art is truly incredible. I can see your attention to detail
