Great game!

Hey :), love the concept of an old Gameboy. I couldn't figure out how to play though, I'm playing on a Macbook and the controls weren't seeming to work, or maybe it was because there wasn't an immediate response to me pressing a button I thought it wasn't working.

Loved it! Full marks :)

This game is so fun!!! Loved playing. Very great idea, and really fits the jam, thanks Gheja :)

Really great to hear!! Thanks Clark :)

Thanks Gheja :)

Hey, great wee story, a little stressful as I really wanted to achieve the goal and was scared I wasn't going to (hiding spoilers).

I like the high contrast which would help readability. The sound design was okay, but some more sounds would have been nice to create the atmosphere.

Loved the music and art, but I needed an easier tutorial to understand the game because I got a bit lost.

Hey this is cool. Really inspiring :)

Hahah THanks Allie!

Cheers ShayneDsouza, glad you liked it!

Spanksalot for playing and for the kind feedback

Thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it!

Thank you for playing TOasterStrooder, for the kind comments and the encouragement... made me smile reading your feedback. I love that you connected with the world building, and noticed the details. I labelled it as a book honestly cause I had no idea what label to put hahahha.

Thank you for such a lovely comment. I'm glad you liked the music, I do too. Next time I'm gonna get it to work with the reading so it's more immersive and cued so that everyone can hear the bells at the end!

I think it's pretty similar feedback people are giving me: foreshadow stronger. I think it's kind you read again but a lot of people beyond developers probably wouldn't so I'll work on making it clearer. Thanks for the feedback x

Hahhaha I love that you play DnD, it's maybe my favourite thing beyond my doggos. Would you have saved him from prison?

Thank you for the feedback. I hear what you're saying, I think for me it was an attempt to try and build enough hints that a reader could build it up, but maybe that is too big a job for one short scene and there wasn't enough context to have a political intrigue. I agree with that actually. I am including Acheron in a world I am building and I think it will have to come later in the narrative.

I guess for me the story isn't so much about the intrigue though and the reader being into that, but it was just about the man and that events have happened and this is where he is now. It is sad because if he has done wrong or not, his end is what it is. In a way I didn't actually want the reader to know if he was a goody of a baddy as I would like all of my goodies to be baddies in ways and vice versa I suppose.

Great, emotive writing in an interesting world and context. Really enjoyed it.

This is wild hahahaha, I had a great time running around and pressing R but I didn't really understand what to do. As a classics graduate i appreciated the use of Latin but i did think it would have been nice to have a tutorial of sorts with translations at the beginning as I got a little lost.  Overall it was fun and I enjoyed the maddness

I loved the wee cute munchkin blob, it would be a good tattoo if you are in the market. The music was a nice fit to the narrative too. The character was well developed besides nothing being said i felt i was rooting for it the whole time. I screenshotted the letter from Elise and it will be my new background for a while.  The end was really great at fitted the theme perfectly.  Well done x

I loved it hahaha! One of the endings (don't want to say for spoilers)  really brought out some appropriate and real emotion in me. I also laughed when there were hidden photos in the gallery.

The timer worked really well, I was drawn into being like fuck I need to find out everything before I don't get a chance anymore hahaha.  I also enjoyed the use of pictures and scrolling.

My only tiny criticism was I didn't like the narrative of the very first page, I wasn't drawn by it... The ensuing narrative was excellent though so that kept me.

I really enjoyed testing out all the classes and creating a character, it's a fun game. I could see combat like this as a really interesting dynamic within a story like the one in my game submission actually. Where you can get attached to certain characters through reading but then have to taken them to battle and then if they die you could game of thrones style have to skip to a page at the end of a battle with a new character... or just restart the fight.

I believe the combat was too hard though, I couldn't ever win and I tried with every weapon and 3 armour types 😂, maybe I'm a shit combatant.

Overall, I think the game is great and could be built upon and embedded in a story with less restrictions (one scene) to become a truly engaging part of player/reader involvement in a narrative

Thanks for the feedback DreamCartographer, that's really useful! I don't know if it's Harlowe or not - first time using twine - but I'll investigate and have a look at that library too thanks.

Yeah I agree, the ending was a bit abrupt 😂I got to a point I needed it to be finished or I wouldn't have got it in on time or my brain may have exploded hahaha. Next time I've got more ideas to make the choices matter more too. Thanks again for playing x

This was great, really enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed this. I love the way you used sound, like when it went from a storm to silent I was immersed hahahah. Fun too, and I enjoyed the narrative.

Hello Rinzai Gigen hahaha

5/5 from me. It all felt really special.

I'm a big fan of the violin tunes, I thought the battle tune was quite different and I don't think it matched the other ones, but i kinda liked it hahhah.
