Thanks so much! If we call it a roguelike does it work? That's a really solid note tho, we need to try to create a tutorial screen for the next one. I agree, it is not instantly intuitive, and that would definitely benefit our next one. Thanks again for playing

Haha no worries! It still is an excellent feature, and was engaging and interesting, it just had some issues that made it a little more challenging and less engaging than the sticks and coal mine! Again, excellent work, such a good submission! The QR code was such a fun idea, I wish I could have gotten it to work haha!

These follow up notes are hilarious hahaha that is amazing! When I saw the QR code drop down, I desperately tried to set up my phone and we unable to get it! I thought it was such a great addition and it got my attention and more of my engagement. Excellent work to both of you!

Thanks for the follow up!

Yeah, I think that all makes sense, I had a similar experience. There were one or two times where I had to focus on just the logs and felt like it would be helpful to crank the generator, but the rate of depletion and the refill to it feels like it is at a nice balance. Also, my girlfriend did the same thing and did really well with that, and I could not do that haha it did not work any time I tried, you both are better at the game than I am! Thanks again, that feedback is excellent!

That was so charming haha excellent work, I enjoyed everything except trying to harvest the carrot! It was a really well done mechanic but I was struggling. The style of the mini games, the falling objects as transition screens, kicking a tree to take his branches, that was a wild ride! Excellent work!

What did the QR code do?? I was trying to harvest the carrot, the QR code went behind the box and I couldn't scan it!

Thank you so much!

That is a good suggestion, but do you think that would have been a better approach or do you think adding another element to manage would have been a better approach? I agree that it would be nice to have something you could do with the generator more consistently, but I also think that the end result allowed you to pump up the generator at a nice rate and that the stress to fun ratio ended up working out really nicely with it. I would love to get your follow-up thoughts if you have time?

I enjoyed this and got mad at it. Very excellent combination! I didn't know I could double jump at first, that helped to discover that. My first attempt, I did have a situation where I accidentally picked up bread, and nobody wanted bread and I don't know that there was a way to drop it. But also, even if I could drop it, nobody wanted the items that were in the ovens at the time. So, the ability to drop a food may have been good so that it would restart an oven if needed. The sprites are amazing, the movement is great, the character is so good, the concept fits really well, the winter theme doesn't feel like it's there. Excellent work, I love it! I only got mad when I tried the other levels and couldn't make the jumps.

Thank you so much, that's awesome to hear! Haha I agree, smashing the keyboard to get the generator to work is amazing.

Thank you so much! I agree, we were working on it and ran out of time! Thanks so much for your time and feedback

Thank you so much! I appreciate it a ton, it was a lot of fun to make. It was a neat challenge trying to make a suspenseful game too, I haven't tried anything like that before.

Thank you so much! Same here haha I do the artwork and DSlower does the game design, so only after the game was done, was I able to try out the game and die repeatedly myself!

Thank you so much! Had a lot of fun working on this one! I've never done anything suspenseful or scary before, DSlower was a legend for making all of the elements really tie together!

Excellent work, this was very well done! The bears slowly coming in adds so much tension, the bad vs good upgrades are so well done, trying to fish while fighting bears is excellent, good work! The only aspect that was a little annoying was when I was in front of the snow pile and used up all my snowballs, and the bears slowly surrounded my penguin at his last stand, I was unable to make more snowballs. I don't know if I missed something there, but it would've been nice to be able to automatically make them in front of the snow pile after I ran out. But it could've just been a glitch on my computer.

This is so good haha! I loved the end screen, that was incredibly relatable! Gameplay was solid, the designs were fun, the concept of dying by the fires was really good, excellent work!

That is the greatest review we could have gotten haha thank you so much!!

Absolutely, you did an awesome job! Yeah, that all makes sense, the indicator would've helped, or if there was any way to make it so you could pull back further as the distance got longer, if that makes sense!

Excellent work! The style, the gameplay, the elements are all a lot of fun and made me want to keep trying!

The only critiques I have is that the "no score" was really annoying, it slowed down the game too much. When the distance got farther and more houses showed up, it made it really hard to aim and control. It felt like you had to relearn the controls every time the map got bigger.  All that to say, this is amazing! You did such a good job!

Thank you so much for checking it out!!

Thank you so much for the feedback! We were working late trying to wrap everything up, submitted the game and then discovered the bug with buying the axes. It turns out, we put a .wav file as a .png file in the code and it causes that glitch. Thanks so much for checking it out!

Thanks so much for checking it out!

Thanks so much for playing and for the feedback! Yeah we found out afterwards that we put a .wav file as a .png file in the code, so it plays a sound effect as an image instead.

Thanks so much for checking it out! We were powering through the GameJam trying to get everything wrapped up in time and unfortunately listed a sound effect as a .png file instead of .wav file! So, it plays a sound file as an image instead which was not the intention. Thanks so much again for playing!

Excellent work! I can't believe you got an FPS done in time for this! Gameplay got a bit repetitive, but the art style was really fun and unique, I loved finding the little club, overall an awesome submission!

Congratulations!! Awesome job!!!!

No worries! Solid work! And I gotcha, code does weird stuff haha thanks so much for checking out mine and DSlower's game, Alien Panic!

Solid work, there are a lot of interesting aspects to this game! I think the style is awesome, the design is very fun, your UFO is adorable and the mechanics are very satisfying! I agree, more monuments would have been a good addition. I didn't love that when I missed the top of the pyramid the timer would still countdown the rest of the way. I also was able to undo the entire tower while waiting for the countdown timer to finish up.

Thank you so much! I did the art and animation, I agree about the Paper Mario style of the character turning haha DSlower was the one that implemented that and I love it! I had the same glitch happen to me a few times, I have no idea what happened there. Thanks so much again!

All good! You did such a good job on it, that wasn't a huge deal and made enough sense as I got points!

Excellent work! I enjoyed that haha my only complaint is that my score increased but it said "double or nothing", so, I thought when I was at 2 points, I'd double and get 4 points but instead went to level 3. This is excellent tho! I really enjoyed the mechanics of it, I wasn't great at it but enjoyed it and thought the art was solid, well done! I did the artwork on Alien Panic, just wanted to check out some of the other game submissions and this caught my eye right away!

Thanks so much for checking it out! I did the artwork for it, I had that same glitch happen to me, not sure why. I just tried out your game, excellent work! It got a bit repetitive near the end, but I enjoyed your intro artwork and storytelling, I had fun interacting with the different bosses, I enjoyed trying to figure out how to use my cards most effectively, you did an excellent job! That is not a game I normally enjoy playing, I don't usually love computer based card games, but I thought you did an awesome job!

I haven't beaten your game yet but man! It is adorable and I got more into it as I played it longer! You did such a great job and the art style is so limited but adorable! It's a really nice combination, excellent work!

Thank you so much! Dude, DSlower is amazing with the programming, I have no idea how he does it! Ahhhh I agree, sound and volume would have been a good addition, we just were trying to get all the core elements finished and polished before the deadline and ran out of time for those additions. Your game was so solid! I played through it, I was fascinated by the puzzles and the way the pieces worked together, I would've loved to see the art style from the intro in the rest of the game, but regardless, it was really well done and fascinating! First time I walked into a trap, I was like "Why?? What was that??? Oh... it's on the other screen..." very well done!

Thank you so much! I did the art and animation, I love the way everything came together, DSlower is a wizard with putting this stuff together! I just tried out your game, I was fascinated haha! I got so many bad cows, I wanted to know more about mystery cows and kept collecting them, I thought the scoring was funny because I got caught by the farmer with a high score of -200

Thanks so much! I did the art and animations, that's weird the game became green tho! We have a screen wipe, I wonder if it froze? I loved trying out your game! I've played vampire survivors before so I can see the influence, I love the wind attack you added, I thought your implementation of fighting a boss to potentially double your ability was so good! Excellent work! Thanks so much for checking out our game!

Thank you so much!!

Thank you so much!! I was working hard on it to get everything together in time!
