If anyone is reading this, go play → Apoapsis

Thank you for the nice comment, Shogun! I shared it with our team. I’m really glad you enjoyed the game. Also happy you liked the Jolly Roger skill tree, that was kind of a random idea and I wasn’t sure if I should do it like that, but I decided to go with it. 😄

And thanks a lot for reporting the bugs as well. We’ll fix those when we find time and energy to do an update for the game.

Now I can sneak past the monsters, and I got a lot further. Can you tell me what to do at the corn field or how to find the ID for the door? I really want to finish the game. 😅

And what is the blue stuff on the ground? Some audio effect happens when standing on it.

One of the best games of this jam (if not the best). I’m amazed at how well everything works together, the audio, art, and gameplay. 5/5

I didn’t manage to reach the end yet. I ran out of bullets against two monsters. I think I used my bullets and saved, and then I couldn’t find more ammo. I’ll try to finish the game the next time I play.

I’m going to follow you guys, you clearly know what you’re doing. Keep up the good work 💪

NICE! I really enjoyed this one. The music is so good! Who made the song? I tried to look for the composer but couldn’t find it. Maybe you could add each person’s role in the credits?

I liked the dissolve effect when an enemy is killed. And I was pleasantly surprised that there were upgrades when I finally found the stairs!

Great job guys!💪🏼

I liked the typewriter effect with the symbols. The audio was pleasant and the visuals looked good overall.

I did have some trouble figuring out how to play though. The enemies didn’t seem to do anything, and I couldn’t figure out how to get the hexagons. I did place exactors on the rocks, but I’m not sure what that does.

I think it’s cool, and it feels like it just needed a bit more time. I hope you guys can do a small update after the jam to to make it more playable!

I like the strange and unique art!

Adding clearer instructions or a “How to Play” popup would improve the overall experience.

Character art is great and it looks clean in both the gameplay and the menu. I liked the music as well.

To my taste, the gameplay felt a bit simple since I was mostly matching patterns. I am not sure how it could be expanded, but maybe it could ask a little more from the player in recognizing the situation at hand.

Just sharing some thoughts. I think it is an excellent entry. Well done!

Solid entry! I didn’t face any issues in the WebGL build. The spinning wall was a nice surprise, and the ending was cool. I’d switch the gun to the right hand personally. 😄

Bruh, I just tested your game and I genuinely enjoyed it. Don’t call it garbage!! Thank you for playing our game!

Thank you Steve! 🌱 We have experienced 5 person team, and we also created game together with the same exact team in previous Brackeys game jam (the game is called Stuffed Guardians).

Awesome! Sounds like a really successful jam for you ✨ Best of luck with future updates to this game and your next game jams!

Thank you! I agree, Zikk, our voice and SFX guy, did a great job once again on this game. I also agree that there are still places where more SFX could be added.

I am not completely sure that more voice lines would always make it better. I think the four custom upgrade SFX work really well, and for a game jam it might have been too much to also ask Zikk to create separate voice lines for upgrades. That said, I hear you. The voice lines are great, so there are definitely places where adding more of them could enhance certain actions and moments.

I am really glad you had fun playing!

Thank you! I agree, it definitely needs more juice. We had to rush a few things at the end, so for example the treasure chests should have much better effects when you hit them. We’ll use the jam feedback to adjust/balance things a bit after this rating period. 🙂

Thank you for playing! 🙏 I’m really sorry it crashed during the kraken. This is the first time I’ve heard of that happening, so I hope it was just a one-time issue. Sorry you ran into that!

Thank you for playing and for the kind words. We will most likely nerf the blowfish a bit or do some adjustments to it after the jam. Thanks for pointing it out! 😅

Wow, great art and game! Well done.

I didn’t realize you could submit more than one game to this jam. That’s seriously impressive. Hats off!

WOW! The art is amazing, love the sound and how polished it is. You guys know what you are doing. Keep up the good work! 💪

The monster was epic! And like someone mentioned, I really appreciate that it wasn’t just a sudden jump scare, but something you could sense coming.

Nice!! The the buttons are really satisfying to press and the screens look great! I love the bit of weirdness in it too! Well done 💪

Cool game! It’s impressive that you made everything from scratch! The pray mechanic is great and it looks visually nice.

I was kind of hoping I could hold down the direction I’m moving in, but I’m not sure how that would work with the turn-based mechanic. Maybe holding the key for a short threshold of time could trigger the next tick?

Interesting game! I completed both easy and hard modes.

It took a little while at the beginning to understand how everything works, and I didn’t really notice much of a difficulty increase in hard mode. I would suggest making the mechanics a bit clearer and increasing the difficulty more in hard mode. :)

Cool game! Love the art and the minimap!

The upgrades could maybe be a bit more interesting, but they’re totally fine for a game jam. If you decide to update the game after the jam, it could be fun to expand or tweak them a little 🙂

I really like the audio work here, and the thumbnail is cool too! It made me want to try the game immediately when I saw it 👏

Interesting game, and it’s impressive that you made everything from scratch. Well done! 💪

I really like how clean and clear the UI is. The game is quite challenging though! That might just be a skill issue on my end 😄 Well done, guys!

Solid submission! The game has a great atmosphere, and I hope you continue developing it after the jam.

Btw, the small red button threw some error and I couldn’t see anything on the screen after pressing it.

Nice work! The humor landed well and gave the game a lot of charm.

Fun and unique idea! Well done!

Impressive entry! Its nice to see 3D game in this game jam! Well done!

One suggestion for improvement: make the UI text of the letter bigger, its though to read the hand writing so I read them through UI text, but the font and box is a bit small atm. Maybe bigger font and additional button to swap it to the UI text instead?

Boss and menu art is cool!

The floor tiles were a bit confusing as it looked like some of those are obstacles or inner walls. Arrow keys for shooting would make more sense too.

Simple fun! I jumped on the shop box to avoid damage from enemies :D

Nice visuals. How did you implement the high-score list? Is it external API?

Scored 2285. Fun game! Well done guys!

Nice game! I really like the camera angle. It reminds me of a small game I made years ago called Yarr Escape.

You’ve got something cool going on here! Maybe try simplifying the controls a bit handling the UFO and the flippers at the same time feels a little hectic.

With a small tweak or two, it could feel even smoother. I’d definitely recommend updating it after the jam!

I really enjoyed this! It’s impressive that you created everything yourself. The controls, visuals, and audio are great. Well done!

Nice game. I found the demon in the credits first, maybe the demon could be hidden until the player reaches the box level?

I really appreciate that you noticed the effort! I’ll try your game tomorrow after I finally get some proper sleep. 😄

Thank you so much for playing and for the kind words! 🙏

There is an island in the bottom-left corner. When you hover over it on the minimap, it indicates that’s where you need to take it. The intro voice line and the one after defeating the kraken also hint at this.

I totally agree there should be additional indicators to make it even clearer. If we update the game after the jam, that would be one of the first things I’d add. Thank you for playing! 🙏

And we have a winner! The game feel, art, and gameplay are all spot on. Well done! 👏 I’d be surprised if any other game tops this.
