Thanks for all the feedback! I tried a quick fix for the floaty controls (sound coming too), but it broke the build — and with uploads locked during voting and the original file lost, I can't patch it here until voting ends.

A working version is up temporarily so you can see how it's meant to play:

Follow if you'd like to catch the fixed final version — thanks for understanding!

Nice theme

pretty fun

Definitely serious defending baby ducks from foxes!

I can't seem to get it to move (just jump) in the web version at least.

Some kind of indication of what to do would be helpful.  I figured it out but it took a while.

update - I’m not going to have time before the competition ends to add additional functionality.

Hope to have sound efects and some better trees/rocks by Friday!

Small update to replace the capsule with sprite.  Sprite is an asset from itch.io

I promise I will get a Raccoon in by Friday :D

Released V1.  I'm going to try to add music, change out the trees/rocks with sprites, change out the capsule, balance gameplay, etc

For a Jam keep everything simple.  I mostly use them as a testing ground while working on my main game to get ideas and to drive traffic.  My first Jam isn't even done yet but I've submitted everything it finishes about the time this one starts.

Not really but I've only been able to make it to 12-13 but gets faster until about 20-25.

Thanks, it should get faster each level.  It's supposed to not start getting hard until around level 20.

When I first started I used AI pretty much for everything.  Now I use it for ideas, speed up repetative tasks, teach me stuff.  AI is pretty bad for anything creative.  If I'm making enough I can pay an artist anyway considering I live with one and it will help when they need to go to college anyway.  At this point its mostly asset purchases though.

First Jam!  Kept it super simple.  Entry is complete.

Thanks Kenney this will drammatically boost my projects and progress.  If I get to the point where I'm making money with my projects I'll definitely donate more.
