The Shichirin came from Ariana Grande's tattoo, which was spelled 七輪 and intended to mean 7 Rings, but meant a small grill instead. But yeah I wouldn't be aware of the word/kanji if not for articles like this.

As for Furuya it was meant to stand in phonetically for "player" as in "yo-yo player", so that's a happy coincidence!

And thanks for the reminder! I'll add it to my profile.

Hi! Thanks so so much for your very thorough, detailed, and even-handed comment!

I'm glad you enjoyed the story. ^^ It was a parody but also a love letter to "children games" shonen anime like Yu-Gi-Oh! and Beyblade.  I just love how high energy and dramatic they can get.

And I'm definitely glad that you noticed the name puns! I do love name puns. They're a big part of Ace Attorney for me. Although, because I don't speak Japanese myself, I had to resort to English puns using Japanese syllables.

You're absolutely right about that phrase sounding OOC for Yoyo, we'll update that!

Cheers!

My, thank you so much!! I'm so happy you enjoyed it. Theater is close to my heart so I hope to write more about it in the future. ^^

It's put-together well, like a poetry in motion. I second the comment below that using the text boxes to break up thoughts was a really nice touch.

Congratulations! That's amazing.

Also the store page is well-put together too

Quite fun and well-put together. Really good UI!

I think it's fun to piece together the information, but I think there were a bit too many red herrings for me, haha. I especially had major problems trying to log in to the first account (the one with the user/password). Might be helpful if the game gives more hints when they see the player is struggling.

Anyway, I got really close to the answer and got the right culprit, method, and evidence, so I'm pretty happy.

Looking forward to more games in the future -- and hopefully you can collaborate with artists to create original artwork, or use public domain assets. ^^

Short but sweet experience, I like how it invites us to create a poem to for "someone". It's never said who. It might be the character portrayed in the game, or it might not be. And the handwritten lines give it a nice personal DIY feel.

Aa thanks so much!
Yes, I wanted to express the self-doubt and the more personal process behind the show.

And of course thank you for the illustration as well. :")

Welp I finished and submitted the game like 30 minutes before the previous deadline (though I was scrambling).
But hey I'll have time to polish the game further. Thanks!

Hello! I used this for my Road Trip Jam 2025 entry.

Thank you, it's really easy to use and it works really well with Ink.

Thanks so much!! Glad you enjoyed it. Haha, yes, I was inspired by some of the older Fire Emblem games where there was a weapon triangle (Axe/Lance/Sword) and a magic triangle (Darkness/Anima/Light). Since it was short I wanted to have some complexity.
Looking forward to trying this tool again in the future!

Yes, I mulled over it as well. What constitutes low effort for everyone is different and for me this is quite low effort. Although I did get the urge to expand on it and smooth some things over haha. Thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed the humor!

Thanks so much! Yes, I've been playing a lot of Fire Emblem lately so I tried to capture the feel, glad it came through. ^^

I think this is an ideal relationship actually. I can relate with the princess. And thanks for the featuring~

Amen 🌼 thanks for playing

Thank you so much! ^^ Ooh, what are your ideas?

Also, love the username. I've always loved Jabberwocky.

Yes, the routes are not evenly balanced at this point. But perhaps I'll revisit it and make it not so low effort in the future. ;)

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you found it amusing.

A nice short story that felt really personal, although the invisible walls caught me off guard.

Thanks! It's working now. :D
Also thanks for this fun little engine that could.

Thank you! Yes I spent most effort  there.

Thank you so much! This is my first time with the engine and I'm interested to see what else I can do with it. ^^

Hey, I tried importing my previously exported HTML file and it didn't work. :(

Was the previous palette "dawnbringer-16"? I tried importing it while having this palette selected but it didn't work either.
I submitted an entry for the jam but I noticed an error that I want to fix, but the import function seems to be not working ATM.

Gorgeously illustrated tale with an adorable twist. Really impressive use of the limited color palette.

Tried the game and got the true ending on first try, woo hoo!

It's a short and sweet experience. The structure is simple but effective by starting right as the action is about to begin, but I think a bit more explanation about the magical girl system here would be nice to ground the reader more in the world. It can also raise the stakes by making us care more about the "villain".

The doubts and challenges of being idol are well-represented through the enemies, although I find the first two much more clear cut and easily understood compared to the third one, which feels a bit all over the place.

But the message of story is nice and very hopeful. Magical girls and idos go really well.

The interactions between Renra and Chiki are also quite enjoyable, although it gets repetitive a little bit with the shades and tsukkomi. But they have great dynamic together.

The presentation is wonderful, the UI is adorable. The enemy cut out feels a bit out of place but it's still okay. The animations really ups the production value and are utlizied well in each segment. The sprites are adorable and the BGs are really good. Oh, and the music, especially for the final confrontation, is really cool and pumps me up.

Overall, a simple but touching story that could have used a little bit more expansion, with excellent presentation.
