Tried the game and got the true ending on first try, woo hoo!
It's a short and sweet experience. The structure is simple but effective by starting right as the action is about to begin, but I think a bit more explanation about the magical girl system here would be nice to ground the reader more in the world. It can also raise the stakes by making us care more about the "villain".
The doubts and challenges of being idol are well-represented through the enemies, although I find the first two much more clear cut and easily understood compared to the third one, which feels a bit all over the place.
But the message of story is nice and very hopeful. Magical girls and idos go really well.
The interactions between Renra and Chiki are also quite enjoyable, although it gets repetitive a little bit with the shades and tsukkomi. But they have great dynamic together.
The presentation is wonderful, the UI is adorable. The enemy cut out feels a bit out of place but it's still okay. The animations really ups the production value and are utlizied well in each segment. The sprites are adorable and the BGs are really good. Oh, and the music, especially for the final confrontation, is really cool and pumps me up.
Overall, a simple but touching story that could have used a little bit more expansion, with excellent presentation.
