rip all furry femboy enjoyers like me

We were thinking of heading towards Prince of Persia (2008) type of cel shade, would that polycount qualify? We definitely don't chase high poly realism, but something more of a mix between minimalism and Monster Hunter if that makes sense.

Hello, we are currently a small team of two friends working on a casual, hobby-scale co-op monster hunting game in Unreal Engine.

We’re looking for someone who’s interested in helping us with 3D modeling, particularly creature modeling based on concept art. We don't expect any texturing, rigging and animation knowledge nor do we have any strict expectations. You're welcome to join us even if you're new to Blender and simply have an interest in making 3D creature meshes.

That said, 3D modeling isn’t the only thing we’re open to help with, if you’re interested in the project and want to contribute in some other ways, we’d be happy to have you. Currently between the 2 of us we have most of the roles covered, but any help is appreciated, it would let us wear less hats at the same time. Even if you're not sure whether your skills fit, feel free to drop by anyway. The project is still very early, so there's plenty of room for people to influence the direction and help shape what we're making.

There are no strict deadlines. We’re making this because we think it would be fun, and we’re learning and building things as we go along. So if you want to take part in a casual project with 2 chill people, who learn as they go along with it, then definitely feel free to join our very fresh discord here https://discord.gg/4qApU6jc8

What is the game even about you may ask?

The basic idea is a lightweight indie take on Monster Hunter-style co-op hunting, with a much smaller scope. Our current plan is roughly:

  • 6 main monsters, each of a different movement and encounter archeotype
  • 1 mount that helps out in combat
  • Each monster has a larger boss variant with an extended moveset and altered visual design
  • One large map with three layers of verticality
  • Monsters roam the map according to various spawn/environment criteria
  • The monster designs lean more weird and biomechanical for the sake of freedom in attacks and movement
  • Environmental design leans into stylized minimalism
  • Co-op multiplayer

We're still very much figuring things out as well, though. Nothing is set completely in stone. In particular, we'd rather have a strong, cohesive minimalism oriented style and scope 2-4 hobby developers can actually finish than attempt making a AAA-looking game that burns us out.

Hello. Amateur artist here offering their help regarding creature design for fun and for portfolio building purposes.

I really enjoy designing creatures, furry and monster aligned species and other strange lifeforms. Maybe someone here would find my niche useful for a project they had in mind, so I am here to offer my design work for free.  Due to fluctuating availability of free time I can either participate in very small scale projects or as just an additional guest-help in bigger ones. Feel free to add me on discord (ret5) if you find my posted examples something you'd vibe with in your project. As seen in my following examples in design I lean more towards lite-bodyhorror, organic and biomechanical design language.

Things I'd enjoy designing:

  • Alien or furry species
  • Monsters
  • Boss creatures
  • Biomechanical organisms
  • Possibly robotic animals
  • Creature variations based on ecosystem constraints

Examples of my work:

A few notes/obligatory TLDR:

  • I'm doing this in my spare time, so I can't promise a quick turnaround.
  • I may decline projects where I feel that my abilities are lacking for it.
  • I'll happily brainstorm alongside you instead of just drawing exactly what you describe.
  • I'd appreciate being credited if the designs end up being used.
  • If you've got a weird world that needs weird creatures, feel free to leave a comment or send me a message!
