Bump. Still searching

Hello everyone!

I'm looking for narrative designers who are comfortable with working on big long-term projects that contains NSFW content. Because there is a six to nine years development window, there is plenty of time to cook something amazing. We posted a prototype and we will release intermediary builds as the game's development progresses.

About the game...

The game project is a semi-open RP game that uses a combination of 2D and 3D art styles to create a mixed but interesting style.

The game features a battle system that combines mechanics of both POKÉMON (e.g., status, multiple movesets, turn-based, etc.) and Deltarune (e.g., avoid attack, timing, music sync, battle effects, etc.). This is done to make the game feel like POKÉMON but without relying on RNG; thus, player's skills matters way more and level scaling is automatic.

About the role...

I need narrative designers who can take the current storyline / progression and fills in the blanks. For progression I have a basic plotline (player goes from A to B, and then from B to C) but how they arrive, what they find, and what they do in-between plot points is still up for debate. And I need someone to take care of that.

I have designed some maps, but I already have too many responsibilities so I'd like some help to relieve the pressure.

About NSFW content...

The game is NSFW as it contains, among other things, feral / furry porn scenes. If you want to help but do not want your name to be featured in the credits, let me know so we can proceed.

About payment...

While I always accept volunteer or RevShare agreements, I have a strict budget for paid agreement. The budget is extremely limited due to a drop in Patreon support and I'd like to not fragment it further.

Payment is done through PayPal and I would prefer delayed payment options (i.e., do the work before and, when we get the money, I can give you what we established). The exact rates can be discussed in DMs. Keep in mind that this is only a limitation of our Patreon. As the support grows, so your payment.

As the support grows, I am able to raise payment for all members but, for now, you may have to bear slightly lower payments. The better your work is, the more likely is for players to want to support the project. And, if you enjoyed working with us, we can definitely collaborate for more projects to come.

If interested, feel free to reply either here or to my Discord:

Hello everyone!

Currently I'm working on my game engine's 3D rendering system and I'd like some help. More specifically, I'm looking for a 3D modeler who knows how to use voxel-based modeling software like BlockBench to create models and animations. I need them to run some tests and fine-tune my system.

I have a really basic system and I'd like to expand it further. Any help is appreciated.

By the way, some requests and animations may fall under NSFW domain since my game engine is tailored for those type of games.

Hello everyone,

A long time ago I "wrote" a GDD for a board game I designed from scratch that is more complex than Chess. So, I built a working prototype and the people who tried it found it very fun to play.

Because I never got around to make a complete game out of it, I'm seeking a 2D programmer who would like to build the game following the specifications I set.

Here's what the game requires:

  • AI bots of various difficulty levels.
  • A local 2 player mode.
  • Custom matches.
  • Integration for plugins/mods.
  • (Optional) a P2P online matchmaking.

About the payment options, I'm up for RevShare agreements between 30 to 40%. All done through PayPal. Almost all the assets are done and ready. This means, it is possible to start immediately without needing to wait for music or art.

If anyone is interested, contact me at my Discord:

Hello everyone!

I have been posting my game's OST on YouYube. However, the fact that they either use static images or placeholder animations does not sit well for me. So, I thought that it would be cool to have music videos to accompany them.

Because I don't have any editing software nor know any animator, I started to write a prototype for a music video maker software a few months ago. It works well and, for a while I put it in pause. However, now I want to finish it and use it to make some cool YouTube music videos.

I'm seeking 2D artists that can draw assets, backgrounds, titles, and cover arts so that the videos look cool. This is not only done for PR reasons but I also to give people who follow my game projects something good.

Here's an example of cover art made by another artist of mine for demonstration purposes:

I can't post here a video of it since it does not load it. However, I can show it on Discord.

The software will be able to make music videos such as this one:

https://youtu.be/qVho_B0TTK0

Once done, the software will be given to the public under a license similar to Unity's (free for small creators and paid for big ones). This would allow new and/or small indie videogame studios to create their own videos without needing to buy expensive animation software.

Due to the nature of this software, I don't have a big budget to allocate for it. So, volunteer and (maybe) RevShare may be considered. For paid very unlikely unless the rates are extremely generous.

If, somehow, the YouTube channel starts to generate revenue, the RevShare percentage also applies to the individual videos. Basically, 50-50 since it is just me and the artist.

If anyone is interested, let me know. It would be something cool to add to your portfolios. Here's my Discord:

If you want, I can try to help with coding

Hello everyone!

We are seeking translators for my game's localization team, possibly someone who can work for the entirety of the project's development.

We currently have the following languages: Italian, Russian, Polish, Spanish, English, and Gleixic.

Because the game contains NSFW content, we don't accept < 18 people. While the current build contains no such content, later ones may require to translate some spicy dialogues.

Is anyone interested in helping us by adding more languages?

You will have your name in the credits under the localization section. It could be a great opportunity to start with a long-term game project.

If interested, DM me on Discord with the language you want to help with. Here is my Discord:

Thanks!

I mean... I could do coding but I'd like to know more about the project, add me on Discord if interested:

Hello everyone!

Few months ago, I joined a game jam. I came up with an interesting game for it. However, I was not able to finish it for many reasons, ranging from holidays and teammates going AFK without telling me anything.

Still, because I loved the idea / design behind it, I decided to make it a full game and expand it further.

The game is called Battlespace, and the game works as follows:

Firstly, the player has to collect items scattered around the various maps whilst either avoiding or defeating all the enemies. After that, they have to complete a minigame in which they rebuild the spaceship and fly away. Once in space, they have to navigate while avoiding obstacles and defeating the enemy spaceships; all whilst managing their resources.

The main assets have already been done and the remaining ones can be started. I'm searching for a 2D programmer who would like to develop this game for RevShare. Payment is done through PayPal and the RevShare percentage is around 25% ~ 40%. If you enjoyed working with us, we can make more games together.

If interested, contact me through my Discord:

Thanks, and have a great rest of your day!

Here, the term "Game" refers to the game project this DevLog is about.

About the Game...

The Game is called "Land of Southern Lights" (or just "LoSL" for short) and, hopefully, it shall become the first entry in a new series / IP called "The VESXEL Series" (or just "VESXELs" for short).

The Game is a [creature collector][semi turn-based] [RP] [open world] game. Here:

  • Creature Collector: The player is able to go around and collect creatures referred to as VESXELs.
  • Semi turn-based: At its core, the battle system follows the standard mechanics of turn-based games. However, the resolution phase differ as, instead of relying on dice rolls and RNG, the player has to actively avoid attacks; thus, turning luck-based elements into a skill-based sequences.
  • RP: The Game follows the standard tropes of roleplaying games. Its storyline is branched and deep; thus, able to make the player feel like they are living in LoSL's fictional universe.
  • Open World: The world map is extensive, filled with stuff to do, and has almost no restrictions. Players are able to play the game one day at the time.

The Game has two major target audiences:

  • Casual players who just want to sit back and enjoy the content (safe and non) at their own pace.
  • Hardcore players who want something challenging after years of playing games.

Here's what the game offers to the player:

  • Tons of new critters to collect and train.
  • A huge map filled with many Point of Interests (POI) and events / subquests to do.
  • A complex narrative that changes according to player decisions.
  • A new IP: new typing system, new moves, and so on.
  • A battle system tailored for players who enjoy a challenge.
  • Level of Difficulty tailored to please long-term players to keep the game challenging with level scaling and many type of strategies.
  • +18 scenes and interactions.
  • DLCs and continuous delivery even after the Game's official launch.

About deadlines:

The Game is a long-term project, with the deadline measured in years rather than months. This long deadline allows us, RSG Team, to ensure that:

  1. everything works as it should and, most important, as advertised,
  2. the Game looks and feels great to play,
  3. and the Game is fun to play and has almost infinite replayability.

But, most importantly, the long deadline also allows for the development to not be rushed nor taxing/stressing. We, RSG Team, are a really small indie development team composed of, mostly, a handful of volunteers who work on their free time. Because we don't have a huge budget, we gotta work with what we have. As the support grows, we can hire more personnel; thus, shipping more content with better quality.

Hello everyone, 2S here!

About Myself...

Some of you may already know me primarily as a game developer and backend engineer. My skills, however, go beyond that since I consider myself to be a fairly skilled writer.

I have been writing stuff since I was a little kid, and I'm no stranger when it comes to writing a wall of text. For example, a few years ago I rewrote almost the entirety of the Bible to create a version that fits the lore of my game projects, and currently I'm writing books about languages, sciences, and fantasy worlds.

One of the books I started to write a few years ago is called "Master Theorem of Magic" (or MTM for short), and it is a 120k words book that aims to standardize magic systems through a unified model using the scientific approach and logical reasoning.

My writing skills are wide and encompass a lot of fields, from scientific writing, to POV, or even custom styles. I have an uncanny ability to imagine myself as a specific character or in a specific world and write according to how I feel.

About My Availability...

Because my hands are already filled with coding and game design stuff, I would like to collaborate on other projects as a writer and/or worldbuilder during my spare time. I usually have two to three hours after dinner that I can solely dedicate to writing stuff.

I can write dialogues, backstories, and narrative pieces, as well as creating cultures, species, languages, and other worldbuilding aspects.

I don't have restrictions when it comes to accepting projects to join in (besides liking them, of course). I'm willing to try anything, from wholesome SFW to the most depraved NSFW stuff. I just want to work with someone on something.

As mentioned before, I'm in the EU and have a lot of projects going on. So, I won't be active every day. However, whatever little free time I have, I would love to help some teams out.

About Payment...

To be honest, I'm not specifically looking to be paid. Still, it would be highly appreciated to get something back beside credits and stuff. Options such as RevShare, Flat Rate, or whatever can be discussed. If your game project is for a game jam or non-profit, I have no problems working as a volunteer.

Regardless, I'd like to work with competent teams and/or promising game developers. If you lack clear vision or can't manage tasks correctly, I'm not the person for you.

And, while I can get over the use of AI with the purpose of prototyping or expressing your vision to me, I won't participate in game projects when AI is featured in the final product.

Thanks for listening. If interested, reply here or add me on Discord:

P.S.

I also do localization/translation between English, Italian, and my own constructed languages such as Gleixic or Vessent.

Hello, nice to meet you!

Few months ago I made a partial game for a game jam inspired by the old Atari game called Asteroids. Since it was for a game jam, it will be completely free and non commercial.

We have all the assets (from graphics to music). If you want to put your hands on it, contact me through Discord:

Hello, nice to meet you!

We have a large scale game that could benefit from a Japanese localization, especially since the game's native language shares a lot with Japanese.
