Thanks :) Yeah, Pico-8 is super easy to get started with, it’s a really practical tool. I usually work on the spritesheet in Aseprite, but the built-in graphics editor does the job too. The code editor is pretty minimal (no auto-completion) but you can always use an external IDE if you prefer. I’m also curious to try out Picotron or TIC-80.
I had a good time figuring out when the Darwins could start surviving, and I managed to reach the end (not sure exactly when the Ascend button appeared but I noticed it once everything was maxed out). The execution is well done. I might have added an explanation screen to show what the color bars represented, but it was also fun to figure it out as I played. Good job!
I can’t take a screenshot because at the time of the freeze, it makes me lose focus on the game window (and all the others explorer windows), and therefore the screenshot does not work. The precise moment of the freeze occurs when the image of Scarlet is in full screen (after the loading bar), at the moment when it begin to appear in low opacity.
For some strange reason I can’t play the downloadable game, the screen freezes after loading as soon as it starts. I hear the music and sounds (controls work too), what I can only do is refresh the display by doing alt-tab, but it freezes again immediately. I’m using an Nvidia Shield that streams locally, it must be because of that :/

(I can probably do a better time with training)
