Tales of Forge & Fortune is a Cozy Fantasy Smithing TTRPG where you set out to forge a legacy, on your own or with friends. Traverse the land in search of materials to craft countless wondrous items to sell at your shop within an ever-evolving town! Although crafting is at the heart of this game, there are still PLENTY of opportunities for roleplaying and adventure, without ever having to worry about losing your character or progress in the process.

Immerse yourself in a world teeming with life, potentially encountering enemies and adventurers during your journeys, while also getting to know your fellow townsfolk. Participate in holidays and special events, such as the Battle of the Bards and Heart of the Forge Competition, that test your skills in creative new ways, while also ensuring that there is never a dull moment.

Every aspect of play leads to new experiences that also affect the world around you. Watch as your small town evolves into a grand city or bustling trade hub, due to your continued efforts to help out your community!

This is the barebones quickstart guide, providing you with everything you need, including a setting, town, and pre-generated characters, to play multiple sessions of Tales of Forge & Fortune and get a feel for the game and a small taste of what you can expect.

Thank you so much for your insight. Determination Dice can be used to add to a roll, but do not take place of a roll, so they couldn't be used to ensure that a player can start or continue a combo. I'm glad that you enjoyed the included scenarios and enemies, as I was hoping that others may find it helpful to use as-is or as a source of inspiration. A lose state is an interesting idea. I guess the only reason why I didn't consider it before was because I didn't want players to have another way their character could meet an unfortunate end, but it does make sense to have them completely mutate into a mindless aggressive being.

Appreciate the kind words and feedback. I figured it may be a little much for some people, but wanted to stick to the idea of "go big or go home" especially for something with a very anti-fascist and anti-capitalism motif.  Hopefully the gameplay more than makes up for it. I've playtested with a small group of friends that enjoyed it. The random enemy generator table somehow resulted in fights that were either too difficult or too easy, so I may need to tweak them, or recommend that people come up with their own fights, rather than rolling to establish them.

Already? Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
