Hi itch.io Support Team,

I'm participating in GameJam+ 2025/26 Indonesia (deadline around 23:59 local time or GMT+7), and I uploaded my game as a .RAR compressed file near the end (at 23:57, posted at 23:58). The upload seemed to complete successfully, but when I download it from my project page (Dagon Shows No Mercy by ray_ark), the file is corrupted and won't extract properly using WinRAR or 7-Zip. Locally, the source .RAR that I uploaded extracts fine and the game runs perfectly.

This has happened twice already on two different game jams we've submitted to, where uploads near cutoff times or during peak hours (many people uploading simultaneously) result in corrupted files on download. The jam rules don't allow new submissions unless flagged as a technical issue, so I'm unable to re-upload without your assistance. Can you please confirm if this is a known timing-related glitch?

Local file before being uploaded extracts fine

the file downloaded from itch.io - the size is almost correct (60mb) but it shows that its corrupted - should be 61.xx mb, I was told by those that downloads the file that it cannot be extracted - so its not my network that fails to download it.

Thanks for your prompt help, it's critical for the jam judging. Happy to provide more info if needed.

Thank you!

Hi! thanks for playing! there's definitely still dozens of bugs need to be ironed out (I have 10+ listed), and that forever dutch angle is definitely not intentional (a bug most likely), we're going to investigate it!

Thanks again!

Thanks! yeah sadly it was submitted in an a pretty unplayable state due to the lack of time, but we're trying to iron out all the bugs for the post jam version soon :)

Thanks! we wish we have more time, like a month-long extension to iron out all the issues and add more features haha, but thank you for playing

Hi! Yeah, you’re absolutely right, it’s definitely a bit overscoped!

Our plan was to work fully within the 7-day timespan, but everyone’s been quite busy with their own stuff, so we effectively only had around 4–5 nights (maybe even less) of actual development time especially the programming side. Since we didn’t have much time to pivot, we just went with what we had and tried to see how far we could push it haha

I'll personally will definitely check out your submission this weekend once things calm down a bit. Thanks again for the detailed feedback, everything you mentioned is totally valid and really appreciated!

Hi! yeah its sort of unfinished, we're definitely rushing it a bit - 4-5 days is not enough haha

Thanks!

Yeah, seven days (well, more like four or five for us due to team member varied time availability) was definitely too tight for what we had in mind it turns out. We’ll definitely keep working on it after the jam as we’re treating this as a prototype for something bigger :)

Thanks! Yeah, we definitely bit off more than we could chew 😅,  we plan to keep polishing it up until Halloween for the full “intended” experience

⚠ PLEASE DO NOT PLAY BUILD 0.1, AS IT HAS GAME BREAKING ISSUES. FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN PLAYING, PLEASE KINDLY WAIT FOR A REVISION BUILD ⚠

Having the same issues, can't seem to upload builds, screenshots, cover art and logo as well

Hi! DM-ed you on Discord! we're currently looking for a concept artist as well both for the Jam and our main game, and your portfolio "screams", excuse the puns hehe

Hey! I’m Ray – a game designer, level designer, and shader/lookdev artist (Unity URP). I have AA-level experience from working with OMYOG as a Junior Level Designer on Ferocious. I also bring solid indie experience from multiple game jams and have led a few jam teams to the finish line myself.

I’m open to joining an existing team, but ideally, I’m looking to form a new one—I already have a composer on board, so the foundation is set. Right now, I’m looking for:

  • Unity gameplay programmer (intermediate/seasoned gamejam experience preferred) with experience in Cinemachine, NavMesh, and general gameplay scripting
  • 3D character artist who can do character and organic modeling, and ideally handle some basic animation

The visual style will lean into artistic low-poly / PSX-inspired visuals, which is my area of expertise in shader and lookdev.

You can check out my work on my itch.io profile, or on Twitter/X where I post shaders and project updates: (Ray_Ervian (@ray_ervian) / X). Here's my ArtStation portfolio (ArtStation - Raihan Erviansyah)

Please reply to this thread if interested, and/or contact me on Discord @rayarxios
P.S. I'm based in GMT+7 in case that helps with scheduling.

Hi there! I'm a lookdev/art direction artist, level designer, shader artist (Unity URP), and game designer. Let me know if you're still looking for team members!

makasih udh playtesting, kita kemaren build mepet deadline jadi ga sempat playtesting wkwkw - somehow banyak yg work in engine but broken in build. Fokus di patch baru benerin trading karena di upload pertama malah ga jalan blas - so yeah take it as proof as concept atm, icon kuning yg minta resource harusnya restoration site - berubah jadi populated site cuma ga jalan belum nemu kenapa - bakal ada massive post jam patch in few days hehe

Hehe, Rawa Rontek keren juga, kayaknya coincidentally ambil source inspiration yang hampir sama :)

Thank you for your kind words! will appreciate any feedback too :)

beautiful game - I like the idea and somehow feels like terraria, spriteworks are polished, good job!

Amazing! really love the idea on being able to build ships and it has a quite plenty of selection for a gamejam - good work :)

quite fun games, I remembered the old tower bloxx 3d game on mobile :) Although its quite hard to pinpoint where the blocks will spawn since it seems to be a bit offset (the block spawns a bit on the front of the guy rather than on dead center of the guy's sprite) - but no problem, a fun game :)
