Me: "Blegh, bugs can't be cute. No way."

*Ping* (Biggest cutest eyes)

Me: "Oh..."

Thanks for playing! I love watching different players' reactions and play styles

Hi! What part of the game is causing you difficulty? I'd love to help you get to the bottom of it.

For the most part, the game just uses the directional keys or buttons, with a single key or button to handle most interactions.

However, during the dodging portions of the game the gameplay becomes timing based, and you must dodge by pressing the correct direction just as the thrown object is about to hit you. For the orange haired character you use left, and the blue haired character uses right.

I'm hard at work on the next Rainsdowne Players adventure!

If you'd like to help it along, please consider backing or sharing my Kickstarter. Thanks!

Thanks! Hopefully I can make more than a sequel! I want this to be the first chapter of a much bigger game.

The next installment will feature a full town to explore, a character driven story, and a greater variety of minigames, puzzles and quests.

Watch this space for announcements!

Hi! Thanks for playing! Were you able to collect all 13 cards? :)

Thanks for playing! The latest update adds occasional visits from a hooded figure who gives out clues. Should hopefully mean a bit less guessing and dodging!

Keep checking in with the picky tomato guy to see whether you're meeting his comedy standards.

Balancing puzzles between being too hard or too hand-holdy is a new challenge for me, so any thoughts on puzzle difficulty, or letting me know about any particular NPC whose puzzles you can't seem to solve would be so, so useful!

Thanks for playing! Costumes, props and all sorts of additional variety is definitely something I hope to add in a future expanded Rainsdowne game.

A rhythm-puzzle adventure about a rundown theatre and pleasing its unruly clientele.

Nobody said that opening a theatre on the wrong side of the river was going to be easy! The roof may be leaking, and the audience may be armed to the teeth, but nothing is going to stop the Rainsdowne Players from becoming the premier (and only!) theatre troupe in town!

  • Correctly handle 'friendly encouragement' from your audience, in the form of thrown bottles, tomatoes and even the occasional fish.
  • Collect inspiration cards from the audience, and combine them to concoct new plays to please the pickier customers.
  • Hang out with a homeless cat who likes board games.
  • Convince the ticket desk clerk not to leave her dead end job.
  • The final boss is several hundred disinterested schoolchildren.
  • Plays like if Paper Mario and Majora's Mask had a child, but the father was secretly Rhythm Tengoku.
