The space turns out to be not that empty after all :D I didn't get at first that I can press Space to shoot continuously, I tried to click, so it was quite challenging to destroy targets. But then I got that and it was nice and I managed to get the upgrades. I also liked the soundtrack and can see this idea developed further into a bigger game. All in all, a very solid entry, well done!

Mind boggling! No, really, my brain was delightfully hypnotised with how the camera/ships move around. Maybe a bit less challenge at the start (less asteroids or smaller level) and possibly roguelite metaprogression on top and the game can be easily sold in Steam. Very solid entry, 5/5 from me.

Very cool mechanics of pulling the orb around and it is getting more energy. I didn't get it at first and tried to just shoot the enemies to the face, but then reread the description and tried again and it was way more fun to try to speed up the orb and hit the enemies from behind. I guess less obstacles on the level could be nice and less challenging for the start and maybe try to make roguelite metaprogression on top and I can easily see this being sold in Steam. All in all, a fun solid entry with a nice breakbeat soundtrack :D

A very solid and polished entry with a cool concept, well done! I can easily see it being sold in Steam. It actually even reminded me of my idea with the swarm. I thought of reworking it and simplifying gameplay and maybe have mouse controls like in you game. All in all 5 out 5 from me ;d

very cool concept for a hardcore precision platformer. It could be nice to have some items on the level that reset the ghost timer (maybe you alredy have them, just the game was too difficult for me to reach that far)

hah yeah sometimes randomly the fps just drop

Hey, thank you for the nice feedback!

Thank you for the good feedback! I agree that it is quite a sloppy prototype for now. I hope to continue to develop it in a more profound way after I have some rest. The jam was quite tiresome for me :l

Thanks! Yeah, the implementation didn’t turned out very well. I overestimated my abilities :)

Thank you! I agree, the pace feels slow. The stuff should be tweaked and balanced for sure.

all the hud icons and the itch banner here is AI indeed. Those are temporary assets and I didn’t have time to replace them. The slime and level tiles I drew myself in Krita

Hey everyone!

The early demo of Lootcycle is now live! https://possumriot.itch.io/lootcycle

In Lootcycle, you’re the craftsman who buys scraps, turns it into unique loot and trades with adventurers.

This demo focuses on the core gameplay loop: crafting strange gear and selling it to customers. It’s a small slice of the full game, meant to give you a feel for how materials, crafting, and haggling all come together.

Because it’s an early demo, the content is still limited. But this is just the foundation. We’re planning to keep expanding the demo with:

  • New features and quality-of-life improvements
  • A proper progression system and upgrades
  • More materials and crafting options
  • Lots of new weird items to create and experiment with

Your feedback at this stage is super valuable. If you try the demo, let us know what you liked, what felt rough, and what you’d love to see added by this form: https://forms.gle/XxetYFQN8MpWLZD26

And if you want to support the project, wishlist Lootcycle on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3518470/Lootcycle_Craftsman_Simulator/

Thanks so much for checking it out. Can’t wait to share more updates with you!

Hey, thanks! I am glad you liked it :D
