Thanks for reporting the bugs! I had no idea about the dialog not resetting, will definitely have a look into that. (And for the pause menu thing, had a bit of trouble wrangling UI layers and forgot to stop the menu from being made when the credits is up, found a bunch of other weird behaviours with it post-jam

Fantastic sound design! Really fun pacing, it was very clear what I had to do. The little newspaper clippings were great storytelling.

Nice work!! Love seeing hand drawn animation, super impressive!

Thankyou so much! Your art looks very spooky, I'll have to try your game out too :))

Thankyou!!! Your game was so juicy to play it makes me regret not focusing on game feel as much haha, I'm glad you liked it!

Thanks!! The cheese and drawer dialogue started as jokes because the character is a small mouse... but they were too charming to remove by the end and are now core to Lappy's character haha

Sorry about the sounds! I'm working on a post-jam update and there is a much better soundscape, it's helping build tension a lot too... I'll give your game a check when I get time! thankyou for playing :)

This is what the UI looks like on my monitor! I think it's a toggle in project settings -> stretch -> mode, by default it's offUI Scaling

Very nice!! I love the stylized storytelling, I might request that you turn on UI scaling, on high resolution monitors the text box is very small. I understand this is hard to test though :(

I like the battle system, a bit more in-game tutorial would help as I didn't know what I was doing for a bit. The thumbnail art is also gorgeous, sound design was great too!

Nicely done! I can tell you've got some cool ideas goin on here! I really like when games use a limited space to tell a story

I'm glad you liked it!! I definitely put style above content and had to cut a lot right before the end of the jam, ah gamedev.

Linux builds are so worth it, did you have any issues with the game running? I've only been able to test on a couple of distros and frankly don't know much about getting games to run well on it lol

Thanks for playing! And for the recording too! I think I need to fix the frame rate stuttering around the start ... hm hmmm

Very nicely done!! I wanted to see more of the character art, its very cute! Maybe a mirror or something would be cool?

Thanks for playing! I intended to study more horror games before playing to get a feel on the camera / movement used in them but ran out of time before the jam. So the camera that made it in was a bit strange, I'm glad you liked it by the end!
Sound design was definitely lacking, i agree! Thankyou again for the feedback

Thanks a bunch, I'm so glad you liked the style! The loading screen is from Kenney, you can find it here!

The switch is the end of the game for now, but I'm working on a post game-jam version to release after judging finishes in a fortnight, so make sure to check that out! (And let me know if you found any other bugs haha) Thanks again for playing, I'll make sure to check your entry out too!

I really like the music used here, having fun seeing the other train-based games haha. The procedural generation was refreshing, and the mix of music and stars (and it being very late) made this game very calming to play.

Great work for just 3 days of the jam! I hope you keep working on this!

Very cool project! It was a bit hard to see what was going on, and it took me a bit to find out that the enemies would spawn after a bit of time had passed. Aside from that the game ran very smooth with a lot of enemies and offered a pretty unique challenge!

Going to go try making it past wave 3 / level 7 >:)

very neat, I haven't played much of the adventure game genre but had a great time figuring out how to progress. I like the sprite art for Laura

The art and sound design are amazing! (I had no idea you could use FMod with Godot, it's great!)
I got a bit stuck at the start and couldn't find out how to progress past the first door, do you have any hints?

Great work on this! I love the simplicity of the mechanics & how the +1 acts as a "chaos" multiplier rather than something that just makes racking up points easy. Got it working on my phone too which was rad! It was a bit slower on the browser on phone, it might run a bit better if it was an app in a .apk build?

It was an auto racer!!
Sorry if we accidentally tricked you with the lack of a tutorial haha

Oh no!!! we tried so hard to fix this, thankyou for playing and we'll try fixing this in the post jam update.

Hello!
I'm so glad you liked the concept!

The ants moving out of bounds was actually a post-jam bug fix haha. They were getting caught on each other at the end of the match so it was softlocking for some people, to avoid adding more content and potentially breaking the rules of "adding content post jam" I chose to make any bug fixes the quickest solution possible (In this case, the ants stopping at the end of the race was delayed, so they would be out of the way.) (Also this was the funniest solution; other potential solutions included turning off collision / deleting ants)

Thankyou so much for the suggestions, I definitely want to take another go at the camera system! And refine the placement system so you can get a better idea of where ants are in real time. I hope you had a great jam!

I think they came out great! Never coded any AI for stealth, only for other things. So I have no idea how I would even start approaching something like this. It definitely impressed me!

Amazing little game!!

Half an hour passed and I had no idea! Almost missed SilkSong's release, love the little ant animations. The game started lagging out a bit when the ant count reached 70-110, I guess I should have been a bit more agressive to keep the numbers down. I hope you consider continuing developing this though, there are a lot of really fun little ideas going on here!

Great work! I liked the stealth mechanics and I haven't played anything with such a cohesive story in this jam yet!

Great work on the music, the platforming and enemy are great for the theme. Also really liked the cat and enemy's design

The game reminds me a bit of  "A week of Garfield" for the NES!

Thankyou so much!

SO Stressful!! Really  clean level design, kept thinking I was going the wrong way but I reached the end still! Really liked the dashing and the way enemies didn't damage but they did strenghten the boss. Fantastic work on the art too, love the pre-rendered 3D !

Hell yeah! Great job on this one, slowly levelling up and getting better was satisying! It was a bit hard to read where enemies would be when I went into a new room or started the game, adding a small timer where they're inactive when they spawn could be nice. (Not sure if there was a way to heal too?) either way, great job and love the little effect you added when a bullet his something. I reached level 5 but I might come back and see if I can get further!

Wow!!
another 3D ant game for the jam, love your game's animations they're so cute! Technically meant to be working now but I'll check your game out properly in a bit!!

PED / steroid legislation hasn't been passed in the ant racing industry yet so it's totally fine and all above the board, don't even worry about it!

Thanks for playing! Totally agree about the later rounds, we didn't have enough time to balance the amount of laps / races before the end of the jam, will defo consider adding more unique events as the player keeps going

Great work on this one!! I really liked the enemy variety and the stakes. Got to wave 5, but I might revisit and try to get further!

I'm sorry to hear that the ants got stuck! thanks for letting me know about this, was able to fix this bug and it's on the page now!
Thankyou so much for checking our game out, I will be sure to check yours when it isn't 2am here

I hope despite not racing the ant, the experience was immersive enough to understand how it must feel!
Glad you liked the camera,  thanks for checking out our game!

Thanks!
Fair enough it'd be nice to add some more, for context, we are a team of 2 programmers and 2 artists, we totally left the game design to... no one... it  runs and looks alright though!

glad you liked the music!! We had so much fun trying to make the game funny for the other devs on the project
(totally didn't add it 3 minutes before submitting hehoho)

Thanks so much!! We'll make sure to check out your game, had so much fun with the camera angles

bet $5 each round. Lost every round. 10/10 accurate gambling experience

Great work! love the leaderboard, and the debris particles haha
