Don't lose your time downloading, there are error in its packaging tails and headers, it won't deflate

So that's exactly what I said! It is not working on Linux as you do need to install,

1) .exe does NOT work on Linux so you are asking me to install a micro$oft windows simulator like wine which I DON'T WANT! I do not want my distro being INFECTED by any micro$oft sh!t!
Just thinking to have an .exe on my computer made me throw up!
2) or you do need to install another software which I can't connect to their website  https://love2d.org/ as I am writing this, I got an host error, but in all case I don't want to install an another software to make your software working!

Thus you are misleading us by saying that it work on Linux which it DOES NOT!!

thanks a lot for a very re-active answer to fix the game on Ubuntu (I did try the game on your link), but I won't install SDL2 and SDL2-mixer, for multiple reasons the first one is that on the https://www.libsdl.org/projects/SDL_mixer/

Thus I opened "Softwares & Updates" it's not there... and in the package manager there are so many thing with "sdl" inside that I have no idea which one is which one -> thus it become a hassle just to play your game.

Also, Once I did install a software witch installed "Timidity" and got problem with the sound, I needed to remove timidity to get the sound back on my computer... and the lib you are speaking about tells us :

Mixer supports playing MIDI format files using software wavetable via an old version of timidity. 

This requires you to have a GUS compatible set of sound patches on your system.

I will not install something else other that the things which come with my distro (Ubuntu-MATE to be exact).

7 years with the same distro, same SSD, never ever formatted, rock solid stable -> I won't play Frankenstein now ;)

It's way too hard for me (i'm an oldman), I can't pass level 5, I lost the pleasure to play as it's frustrating when it's hard. Anyway nice graphics

Don't download, Game is asking for a login/pass on Linux. Then it said "cannot connect to ...whatever"

I don't have login nor pass, so I just uninstalled

Does not work on Linux.. even from the itch App, when trying to install libcurl3, terminal says:

• Package libcurl3 is not available, but is referred to by another package.
  This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or is only available from another source
  However the following packages replace it: libcurl4:i386 libcurl4

Ubuntu-MATE 20.04 as well as on MX Linux 19.3

The game is VERY addictive, it's a very nice little game. I am now addicted.

If you are on Linux, they forgot to put the .pck with the Linux download, so download for both Windows (the .pck is inside) and Linux. Unzip the one for Windows, in the new directory created, throw away the .exe and put the file for Linux instead inside that directory, then just do like usual (right click/property/permission/give the right to be executed as program to the file for Linux) and it will work.

That's a nice and funny game, I love it. It's smooth and beautiful (1920x1080-Fantastic on Ubuntu 20.04). VFX-sound is funny as well, many ways to achieve the goal, very friendly for non hardcore gamer like me. Towers are amazing with their different rates.

My best score is 253 rebels remaining at 100% with only 3 buildings (tower on the right was the only one to be upgraded)
Walk-through: 1) build the top one near the exit and wait 2 waves.
2) when second wave is finished build the bottom one.
3) when you have enough money build the right-side building at 23 rebels (faster pulses)
4) then wait the end of the fifth wave to upgrade that last tower to 60 rebels
6) then enjoy accumulating rebels while at 100%

It's a pretty nice game, I did enjoyed it. My preferred levels are on the land, though.Turrets are awesome. I love the fact that levels are fully open, it removes the frustration for low gamer like me. Thanks a lot for making this jewel
