I know of this bug, but you should be able to press R to free yourself. Were you able to finish the game?

Thanks for playing our game!

Thanks a lot!

Your feedback means a lot, thank you! We decided not to start the next wave as soon as the enemies are beaten, because we don't want the player to actively try to spend more times in waves, so his later plays will be easier. Instead we thought having a fixed time for a wave will synchronize the clones better. And I totally agree we should work on that thumbnail 😅

Thank you so much! I found the time quite short especially when you use the bomb, probably you are just more skilled than me. The bomb is definitely much harder to play, but once you master it, it's very useful, especially in later waves. While with the gun, you have to shoot every single enemy, which carries a huge risk of killing yourself in the next round, you only need a few bombs. I usually try to play the bomb in my first life and then the gun twice.

Absolutely :)

We appreciate your feedback! We went for a rather simple game to have more time to polish it, as this is usually best in such a short timeframe.

I do

Yes, I do

Thank you!

Fire

agreed

Thanks a lot! Yes, the paddle animation uses only two frames, which can be a bit irritating

Thank you for your nice words! I didn't experience that flickering before and it would be really weird if it actually does flicker. You could try to check the colors with a color picker, the color should stay the same... The lag when destroying a brick was intentional. I thought it works really well slow motion effect, but now that I think of it, I should have added some hint to it with the music playing slower or something. Thanks for playing our game!

Haha, thank you :)

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed our game!

I appreciate your nice words :) This really made my day. Thank you for playing our game!

Let’s start with the art, which absolutely amazed me—it’s incredible how much you got out of this palette! The gameplay is really fun, and the idea is great. I didn’t encounter any bugs, which is impressive. Really well done!

Thank you so much!

My favorite game so far! The story is awesome and really well written—a totally different approach to teaching the player perspective than mine, haha. The art style is simple but super stylish. For a game made in such a short time, it’s incredibly impressive. The minigames are a great touch too. Fantastic job!

Well done! The idea is quite similar to my initial concept. The level design is impressive—challenging but fair. The graphics could use some improvement, but the gameplay was enjoyable overall. I did encounter a bug where spamming space lets you jump endlessly, which is how I managed to finish the game. Despite that, I had a lot of fun playing. Great job!

The graphics are absolutely stunning—my favorites of this jam! The palette use and lighting are incredible. Gameplay-wise, I found it quite challenging and a bit hard to figure out at times. A restart button would have been super helpful to avoid reloading the page. I understand the time constraints, and this was an ambitious idea that’s impressive even if unfinished. It doesn’t quite fit the theme yet, but I’d love to play a completed version someday. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for your feedback! I think I should have focused on something a bit easier and put more time into polish and bugfixing when joining such a short game jam next time. It is always hard for me to make games challenging, but not too hard, because me as the developer just knows the game too good, so I often underestimate the difficulty

This was an amazing experience! The mechanic is great, and the level design is so clever! I would have loved to see some animations, effects or a background. But given the time constraint this is a clever masterpiece!

(1 edit)

Yeah, sorry about that... No pac man doesn't work exactely as I did it here (the real pac man is faster, ghosts respawn...) but at most parts this was intentional. I am pretty sure you didn't play through the whole game though! The problem with losing after winning, is that only the loss will be saved. Again, I am really sorry. But please try the game once again! Pac man is actually only the 1st part of 6 in the whole game and you can only continue once you win. Thanks for your comment!

Thanks a lot!

Thank you for this insightful feddback! I can definitely see the problem with pac mans speed, but I think while coding the game I just became way too good, so even the product semt way too easy to me, so I keeped it like it was. If I had the time to, someone would have tested it before sharing, but I really didn't... Same problem with the effects. Even with the extra day, I would have loved to be able to spend one last day on polishing, maybe some particles or screen shakes... A deadline can be cruel. Thanks for your nice words anyways

Okay, thanks a lot!

Thank you so much for this nice feedback! Were you able to play through the whole game? Because I heared from a few people even after they won in pac man, it didn't continue.

Thank you so much!

Thank you very much! This means a lot to me

Thanks a lot for your feedback!

I totally get what you mean. It is really a shame, it turned out to be that close to "We become what we behold" The initial idea was a 3 D first person cameraman simulator, actually. While brainstorming, I found it to be very hard given the short timeframe. So I decided to do it top down with a little cameraman who has to film interesting details, that didn't work that well, so I made it instead of filming people doing something, taking pictures of them. The cameraman was pretty fun to control, but it was hard to control him and make him able to take some decent pictures. So in the end I decided to remove him... probably an awful idea. I noticed the similarity to We become what we behold after the jam was over. I would have added more features, if I knew it was that similar.

Sorry for writing that much, but I thought everything just needed some clarification.

Again thanks for your feedback and time!

Thank you very much! I'll make sure to check it out, when I have some time. The voice was made using elevenlabs, and edited by me.

Awesome, I didn't know that. I'll try it again!

This was a great experience! The art is lovely, the idea is very original. I love how the game unfolds. It would be fun, if the user had an influence on the outcome, but given the short time frame, it is awesome what you have here. Keep it up!

Thank you for your feedback! I added the sound effect, to make sure you can easily understand what is going on, but especially in the end of the game, you are probably right, there are just too many... I noticed how similar this was to the game you're referring to, after the jam ended, unfortunately. My initial idea was something completely different, so it is pretty sad for me to see how similar this turned out. If I had noticed that earlier, I'd have added some other mechanics as well. I didn't mean to copy or remake any game.

Thank you so much! This means a lot to me :)

The art looks awesome, the game feels a bit unfinished (and there are a lot of bugs) but I feel like the idea has a lot of potential! I know how cruel such a time limit can be, so good job nevertheless!

Wow, this is for sure my favorite entry yet! The puzzles are so interesting and the idea is great! This is extremely impressive for 24 hours, Keep it up!
