First, I’d like to make a small game for itch.io to see whether we work well together. After that, we can aim for a Steam release.
I’m looking for someone who enjoys creating art and can handle the game’s visual assets. I’d also like to work with someone who is willing to discuss game-design ideas and contribute to other parts of the project, although that is not required. I’m not looking for highly detailed or complex illustrations. Since this would be a small-team project, I’d prefer a simpler art style that allows assets to be produced and revised quickly (Yes, I know that art takes long even if it's simple.)
I feel that some of my game jam entries have been a bit uninspired, and I think outside input would help me learn and improve more quickly.
If you’re interested in contributing beyond the artwork, we can discuss what to create for our test project.
You should:
- Be 18 or older
- Be at least interested in learning animation
- A few years of drawing experience, but prior experience creating game art isn’t required
In your first message, please include something I can look at, such as a portfolio or examples of your work. Also let me know whether you are interested in contributing to areas beyond the artwork.
Potential dealbreakers:
- I can code, but I use AI-assisted tools. I do not like using AI for anything outside of programming.
- I’m not interested in making visual novels.
- I can come across as a bit dry in conversation.
