Cool!

(1 edit)

Hello, thanks for ordering the book! Not sure if anyone has broken it down into watches, though I believe Yochai Gal has said that he Cairn-ified the map. I don't think he's posted that anywhere, however.

But here's our method, which is pretty simple, and uses the map scale, and the assumption that people on foot can travel up to 24 miles per day (or 36 miles on roads). A useful visual is that it's about 30 miles between Cimbrine and Fort Flumenel, so call that a distance of 3 watches. With that as a reference, you can eye most any other distance on the map. The majority of distances between locations are therefore 1, 2, or 3 watches.

I hope that's helpful, and that you have a blast playing it with your family!

Traveling just now so I can’t confirm, but the hexes are mostly intended to delineate / abstract region borders, with the 60 mile scale provided for measurement between destinations.

:)

Thank you, we're thrilled.

Thanks so much!

We ran one playtest session with first edition Knave and it worked very well. Haven't tried 2e but it should work as well.

Excellent! I hope your group has a good time with it.

We currently have plans for four more volumes of similar scope (with the next one well underway). But the full map of Wildendrem encompasses nine provinces, so we could keep going if fate and fortune permit!

Wow, thank you. Working on this book was a joy, and a response like this means a lot to us.

Thanks so much! And rest assured that we are working away on volume two :)

Ah, it was a theme issue, thanks!
