The promise: "Made on RPGMaker 2003 with the intention of being the happiest, least scary game ever made on that engine."

The delivery: The first significant event is a dog dying in a fire.

Next up: Insults and "Yo Mama" jokes.

After that: I quit the game.

i'm not a hater.  Butterfly Soup is one of the most amazing, greatest things to ever grace a computer. Most importantly, I recognize that I am literally the only person with anything negative to say about this game.

Wow. Hey, I found this through Nicky Case's comment (I'm a fan of his) and I am so glad I played it. This is truly great storytelling and it's not hard for me to imagine you being the next David Levithan should you choose to go in that direction. Truly amazing.

This game reminded me a lot of Gray, an old flash game on Kongregate. There's not much game here, but a lot to think about. Well done.

I found your game through Rock Paper Shotgun. I don't know if this is your first game or not, but I definitely hope it's not your last! (It was great)

I really want to play this game, but I'm having trouble getting it to run on Linux. The config window opens, I'll hit OK and the game stops. Any suggestions?

Also, send a complaint on my behalf to the itch search engine. "There you go" doesn't return your game. Fortunately, octogear does.
