your retrobit controller might have a way to toggle between direct input and x input

ah, i'm not sure how i would be able to fix that atm, i'm really sorry. i'll keep an eye out for a solution though

Which operating system and what kind of controller are you using? I can take a look into it

Hi everyone from the 1-Bit Jam!

Since the contest, I've been using my experience from Tetherlure to start work on a new platformer: SomnaBuster. It's a fully 2D-animated adventure across multiple worlds with highly-interactive environmental hazards and a YM2151 soundtrack.

The first demo is playable at this Itch.io page: https://pd-cgt.itch.io/somnabuster

I hope you all check it out!

Thank you!!

I didn't plan to at first, but your response makes me want to now, it'd only be fitting. I'm going to start learning the language today.

my bad, there's a collider placed on that ledge to prevent you from jumping above the tilemap but i guess the mushroom has enough bounce to lob you over it. it's fixed for whenever i can roll out the next version, thanks for letting me know

Outstanding re-translation of Ikaruga's color swapping, wonderful stage music too, I think this might be my favorite game from the jam, I wish I played it during voting :')

Missed the chance to play this during the voting period, I love the cover and sprite art!

All of the ideas for light puzzles are well-developed and intuitive, builds upon its own foundation at a brisk pace. Very polished overall..

Charming and impassioned, very cool! Very clever way of incorporating the light/dark scheme. Also love the way the music changes based on the color mode.

The portal behavior is odd though, it keeps re-triggering so long as you stand near it.

Very creative twist on the Sokoban formula, with some additional mechanics & gimmicks you could easily make a worthwhile full game. Bravo!

Very clean and professional, smart and thoughtful level design, powerful use of visibility inhibition - stellar work all-around

Very cool and admirable low-poly vibes. The gameplay objectives could use improving but you definitely understand the raw appeal of blowing things up, it was very fun to cast spells over and over.

Good effort, but does not fit the jam theme.

Onward and up as they say, good luck with your future projects!

Very impressive balance between the lighting system and search-based gameplay, you have to now which fires to get rid of first so you can navigate to the others. Looks clean and detailed.

cute concept with fun character names, i like the remix stages where you get to jam your own little songs, makes me think of parappa

Very clever idea and fun vibes. If i could make a suggestion, maybe the player could control the day/night cycle; it takes a little bit to alternate between the two.

Very novel and fun

My two favorite shades of purple
