Sorry for the even later reply, but I didn't manage to fix it

(1 edit)

Message from the Developer:
Just a heads up, I'm working on a bunch of bugfixes which will be done in 1-3 days. So if you got stuck somewhere, hopefully that'll solve your problem.

Also don't click any links posted in the comments. I won't link anything important in the comments.

The folder you put the game in might be preventing the game from writing the savefiles. Try putting it on the desktop or something and test if that changes something.

In the inn, stairs down, on the left.
The first time you enter the inn there should be a message telling you where it is.

game folder -> www folder --> data folder
if it is correct, it will ask to overwrite (say yes)

Thanks for confirming. Maybe something driver/codec related on the handheld then.

You could try going into the js/plugins folder, then open "AudioStreaming.js" in a text editor and delete all code inside (so its' just an empty file).

Not sure if it'll help, but that plugin changes the audio playing behavior a bit, so might be worth trying.

The lock-picking thing is a bug, backporting the fix is a bit risky, so it'll have to wait until next update.

The story is approaching the "human relations/therapy" arc which will open up some new romancing possibilities.  Currently there's a full scene with Barrel, and also the summer special got animations with the townspeople + party. Though its more of a dream sequence.

Regarding 'the norf', try downloading the bugfixes from this page, I just updated them.

Could you post some info about your device, like graphics card etc?
I think this is an unusual problem

I'll sort this out until next update, thanks for reporting

This, and also the waterwalking, is fixed in the latest patreon version, I'll see if I can backport the fixes to the public version

I'm trying to make an android version, but tbh I kinda suck at mobile dev.

You can also try Joiplay, which is designed to play rpgmaker games on android (Goblin Layer uses rpgmakerMV)

If its a very old autosave, it could be a problem. You should be able to test it really quickly by choosing chapter select (5) --> talk to Town Hall --> go north.

When I tested it, there's a slight pause, and then it fades in normally.

I checked it out and the trigger for the basement exit is set to action instead of touch. Try clicking/using the action button (usually Z) at the bottom of the stairs .

I'll fix it next update :-)

Is it a fresh save? I'll check it out

First of all, great idea. I wanted a tool like this for a long time.

I've been running some tests, with an RpgmakerMV game, and recently I'm getting this error:

happy to be of service

try f4 (not alt+f4, just f4)

Honestly, I've never even tried playing this with a controller. But I'll check it out.

Thanks, I'll add some collision next update 👍

The story is approaching a point where the protagonist will become more open 'human relations'. so hang in there :-)

I'm trying to make an android version, but to be honest, I'm not very good at mobile dev. You could try Joiplay, which can play many Rpgmaker-type games on android. (Goblin Layer was made with rpgmakerMV)

Sorry, late answer, but basically you just download the bugfix and unpack/extract (just like with game). And then you put the bugfix files in the game folder. If you did it right, it will ask to overwrite.

Thanks for the extra info!

Thanks, lol. Normally you can choose to get it when starting a new game. Otherwise talk the the "old grandma" in Hubtown (the main town), and she can give you the skill. She can also increase the walk speed.

:'-(

There's a cheat skill that lets you bypass the combat for those who dislike it though.

I mentioned it in the Development log, but in case anyone missed it:

There's a big bunda bundle up right now, here on Itch, with a mix of free and paid games (the free version of Goblin Layer is in there too):

Also I uploaded some bugfixes!

Ok, no problem, I actually found the issues. Will upload some fixes shortly!

Around what point in the story did that happen? For example, which was the latest main quest you did

Thanks for reporting, though the green calendar thing shouldn't happen... is it a fresh save or an older save?I'll check it out anyway

Thanks, for all the reports (with images)!
Bugtesting can be kinda time-consuming, so I appreciate people reporting problems :-)
I just uploaded a new version, but I'll check these out too.

try F4 (only F4, not alt+F4)

Thanks for reporting, I'm working on it!

Hi, the replay gallery is currently a patreon bonus thing, I figured they deserved some kinda of reward for their support... (There's a door in the town in that leads to the replay/cheat room)

In regards to the scenes, they are indeed very nsfw, though still compliant with the current terms & conditions of our internet platform and payment overlords. Not sure if these two gentlemen would be proud of the contents of the game, though I'd like to think so.

Alright, I'll take a look at that

Usually you just need a new start when there's been significant code changes etc

I'll investigate

Alright, it looks good on my end, which means its gonna be a bit tricky to figure out. But I'll try some things. If you change the font in the options, do all of them look weird, or just some of them?

No problem. That text is indeed weird... The game has multiple fonts, do you get the weird text with all of them?And is the text always weird, or just on sometimes?

Could you screenshot the weird text?

Happy to hear it :) More chapters are on the way!
