Ideally, I want to have my game completely free on Itch and have an option to pay a fixed amount to support the game and get some goodies (like the soundtrack). The problem is if I do that, it wont show up under the Free section of Itch and the price tag will show up on all the thumbnails, leading to people thinking the game isn't free. I wish there was a way to label your game as Free while still having a fixed payment option for people who want to support. Maybe a Free Demo label/section would be helpful too for games that want to use the embed feature to have a free demo.

Instead I plan to just keep my game free here and try to push people to support through Patreon and Steam. Which seems like what some other games here are doing too. I feel like this adding this suggestion might help get some more money to go through this site instead of into valve/patreon's pockets.

Hi thanks for the feedback! Things have gotten busy for me and I've taken a bit of a break from working on this game, but once I get back to making a full version sometime in the future I'll keep this in mind and do my best to find a way to get this to work.

Following up on this, I started working on another project (an RPG Discord bot with a similar tone to this). I'll post here once it's ready to launch. A new area for this game is pretty close to being done, just needs some bug-testing and balancing. Once I get this bot launched I'll finish up that area.
